How Ian and/or Anthony have died in each Food Battle from Smosh: 2006: Anthony dies from drowning in a pool as he fails to use his beef taquitos as pool floaties. 2007: Ian dies from injuries of a car crash after failing to use his pink frosted sprinkle donut as a steering wheel. 2008: Anthony is accidentally impaled by his own churro due to slipping on a banana peel when he tried to kill a guy for hating Toy Story. Attempts to kill Ian with his churro before dying, but accidentally ends up killing the Food Battle announcer instead. 2009: Anthony dies from cyanide poisoning in his burrito by Ian during the edible food challenge. 2010: Ian is accidentally electrocuted from an electric blow dryer in a bucket of water from the teleportation device challenge after finding out that Anthony had survived from Ian attempting to drown him and even that his legs are actually working fine. As it was also revealed that Anthony surviving from being drowned to death by Ian in the pool in 2010 was also how Anthony had actually came back to life in Food Battle 2007 after the events of 2006 in the first place. 2011: Anthony reveals that he ended up making Ian poison his own pink frosted sprinkle donut as Anthony's poisoned rainbow lollipop was actually revealed to be a fake. As Anthony then kills Ian with an arrow (along with the poisoned donut), he accidentally kills the Food Battle announcer too by mistake. 2012: As Anthony tells Ian that he actually switched brains with him when Ian was knocked out during the wings of flight challenge, he also switched Ian's heart (from Anthony's body) with his (Ian's) pink frosted sprinkle donut. 2013: Anthony is accidentally impaled by a falling sword that was originally meant to kill Ian as predicted by his giant gummy snake during the crystal ball challenge. 2014: Both Ian and Anthony die from lethal poisoning: Ian accidentally having his head dunked in a bucket of poison by the Food Battle Announcer, while Anthony is exposed to poison from a catalog that Ian had poured an entire bucket of poison on it. Making it the first ever Food Battle so far where neither Ian or Anthony wins. 2015/Food Battle X: Ian is accidentally choked to death by his pink frosted sprinkle donut due to slipping on the waxed floor before he could make a healthy smoothie for the healthy smoothie challenge. The Food Battle Announcer's grandfather would also die from slipping on the waxed floor first before Ian did. 2016: No one dies as Ian and Anthony have decided to end Food Battle for good after years of Food Battle, along with Anthony leaving Smosh in 2017. 2023 (The Return of Food Battle after Anthony's return to Smosh that year): Anthony is accidentally impaled by a pair of scissors that Ian had with him. And with Anthony's death in Food Battle 2023, there would be a story arc revolving around Anthony's death after the events of Food Battle 2023.

Back in 2012, I was a 10 yr old kid watching food battles with my brother. I was at elementary and he was in his highschool. We've grown together watching every year until 2016 when it stopped. Now my brother is already working and I'm at my 3rd yr college level. It was a nostalgic feeling seeing Ian and Anthony creating food battle again. I hope the do for 2024 so brother and I could watch again. Thank you smosh! for being a part of our lives.

Duos like these guys CANNOT be separated. Last time I saw a Smosh video was before they separated. I was in middle school. I'm 22 now and saw this in my KZfaq feed. PLEASE do not separate again. Actually this is even better than classic smosh, because its got the randomness of classic smosh, but the comedy is much more subtle. Stuff like Anthony crawling back from mexico without any dialogue, just wordless storytelling. Its perfect.

seeing ian and anthony working together again brings back so many memories from when i was a lil kid watching their videos. im glad they were able to buy smosh back, when they rebranded it really screwed them over. now they’re in control of what goes into their videos again which is what made old smosh so great. the best part of it all is seeing them become close friends again.

The whole recreation of the ending of Food Battle 2016 and the plot twists in this were mind blowing. This is an instant classic Food Battle.

I love attention to detail and one detail I really loved is how they removed Anthony's tattoos (presumably by painting over them) in the flashback sequence, so he could look like his past self again.

I used to watch all the food battles as a kid, recently I got my first job at dunkin donuts and everytime someone orders a pink frosted sprinkle donut i think about the food battles. This vid hit the nostalgia man.
