Idk why but this series is so sweet to me. Like it just shows how much Shayne pays attentions and listens to his coworkers and friends. He takes who they are to heart and then is able to use that knowledge of them for this.

My favourite thing about this series, aside from it being awesome, is that I'm now starting to be able to guess cast and crew solely based on everything that's been shared by Shayne and the team, and the picture we're getting and that's being built, so it's becoming so much fun to play along and guess as well, and get a decent amount right. Like, this series is such a good way of fleshing out everyone at Smosh!

I only have gotten into reading like 4 years ago, but my favorite books (so far) are Jane Eyre, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo and If We Were Villains. Honorable mentions: The ACOTAR series, Stoner by J. Williams and Zoo Station: The Story of Christiane F.

Love that Shane pointed out how derivative Eragon is. For writing that well as a homeschooler teen it’s is a good series. You can tell what Paolini was reading and watching at the time of writing, ie, Tolkien, David Eddings, Star Wars., etc.

This was really a wonderful way to find out about new books. I've been in such a rut reading the same 6 series for the last year and a half, unable to find new things to catch my interest. I now have 5 new series to check out and I'm thrilled. I also remembered that i absolutely loved six of crows, so I'll read that again once I've gotten out of this rut. Shayne is so impressive in all of these. Not only is he observant of his coworkers and friends, but he genuinely seems to know about them. Even when he is wrong, he almost always narrows it down to two and one is always right.

It’s honestly really refreshing to see a generation of people who still see value in reading books (not saying other forms of entertainment are less than in any way). nothing like a book for strengthening your imagination; i used to read a ton when i was growing up, but slowed way down when i got into video games, altho funnily enough some of my favorite video games, the Elder Scrolls series, feature short stories depicted as chapters of books that you can collect in the game

Loved seeing "We Had a Little Real Estate Problem" in the episode. Great book. Even though it's not tribe specific (or in some ways perhaps BECAUSE it's not) really helped me feel more connected to my indigenous heritage; something that was denied to me as a kid because of my mixed ethnicity (Cuban & two indigenous tribes) and growing up raised by assimilated natives due to blood quantum. I feel like my great grandfather, who was the only connection I really had to my indigenous ancestry, would have really loved it despite it being about cultural connection through comedy and him practically being the template for the "stoic, humorless indian" trope/stereotype.

I freaking love the hatchet and I find it hilarious that that's what remained in Shayne's memory and not all the cool wildlife stuff! The moose part always stays in head for example. The secret by the way is that he saw his mum cheating if I recall.
