@@lklklhiai the sheep is Lay's Zodiac animal, it's an Asian thing, but basically, zodiacs go in a cycle of twelve, with twelve animals for each year, and he was born in the year of the sheep. Someone born 12 years before or after his birth year also has the sheep as their zodiac. (very rough explanation from memory but I think it's correct.)

@@mx.n.3682 you can add to this 5 elements which cycle as well - in combination this creates repeating cycles of 60 years. for example Zhang Yixing was born in 1991 which is the year of the white (metal) sheep. 2003 was the year of water sheep, 2015 - wood sheep etc.

In case if anyone is wondering why “Sheep”: Lay is born in 1991 (year of the sheep in chinese zodiac), also, he is cast in 极限挑战，a reality show like Running man in China. Due to his soft and kinda naive personality, he is called a “sheep” while the rest of the members of the show are “wolves” that would always trick Lay into believing them (so they can win the game). In Chinese he is “小绵羊”. Thus... his nickname is 绵羊兴，aka Lay the sheep! And there you have it.

People who don't understand. 💥💥 In China lay is called sheep or little lamb due to his kindness, gentle looks , naivetyetc. He got this name in a popular variety show where most of the contestants are older than him and lay is the youngest . Due to his cute behaviour and innocence people nick named him sheep. SO IN THIS SONG lay is saying that he maybe gentle and kind but he has the other side too and you can't fool him . right??? some of the lyrics are really intense and badass, but then some scenes and his accent in some places sound so adorable and soft, i think it's intended. lay is showing us he isn't being completely serious or trying to be something he's not, he owns his cute behavior and humor 😂
