Nick, the pain and sadness that washed across your face when you told us the news was moving. Remember to take what pleasures and comforts you can out there. Lord knows that a half million or so loyal disciples of the Adventures of the Smuggler's Blues and her Intrepid Skipper are all wishing you both health and happiness. Tempus Fugit, my friend. Sorry to hear of your personal situation Nick. I found your channel by pure accident in the early days of the COVID era and you have been my Friday night "date" ever since! I credit you hugely for keeping me going and giving me something to look forward to during those times. Thanks for the details in the video. I hope the time out of water goes well. I feel for you and marrianne. My wife and I loved seeing you two interact. I could see the pain in you face as you talked about her . My wife and I have chosen to live separate lives as well for the past year. We were both saddened by the news when marrianne brought it up on her you tube channel. We were both sad when she stopped her channel and I hope you will be able to carry on with yours. My wife and I still love each other but can't seem to live with each other. We still spend time together as well. I hope you and marrianne can find what brought you to togerther just as I hope for the same thing. I can't wait to see you and smugglers again or any other walk abouts etc

I was a boat hater until, late one night after work I watched a yacht tour of yours on some late night infomercial channel. At first, I thought that the show was kind of dump. Well, until I listened to how passionate you were when discussing the tour. This had to have been 5 years ago, and ever since I've been a fan. I truly appreciate the tours and joy you've given me over the years. It hurts to hear that you're going through turmoil. Still, you're grinding and giving us more content. I know others have said this but I really appreciate what you do for us and I love your videos. These videos give us joy even in difficult times. Thank you, Sir.

Apart from your knowledge and obvious passion for all things aquatic……. extending to cars, caravans and motorhomes……… your advantage is the “first person” warmth in all your tours…… you are taking me for a tour, in a largely unedited meander, such that I could find my own way around, something absent in a lot of other tours…….. This personal approach must have made it all the more difficult to share your sad news……. I think you know that you have a huge amount of support from us, that feel we know you personally and wish you all the best as you cruise gently into new and uncharted waters……… 🎉😊😊

As a 62 yr old going through a similar divorce, one where you grow apart and decide to live separately, I can say that it gets better. It may take a while, but you'll both be better off in the long run.

@@fionajane6081 Marriage makes no difference, the only difference between a divorce and a separation is all the money you lose when divorce and the extra potensial stigma of a divorce. It can still be as hard emotionally even if you never married

Sad news indeed. Above all else make sure to take care of yourself, regardless of what all happens. Mental health included in that bit of advice. Ignore any stigma (not sure if its as bad as here in the States, but...) and seek counseling if it seems like you need it. Above all, we're looking forward to more of what you do so we can live vicariously through your tours. And enjoy your boat!

Thanks for the tag along and update. These things are never easy, but with time we get clarity to look back and realise how things happen for a reason and how we are better off.
