These comments are really sad. I’m in ED recovery and my mom and I came up with the idea for me to have a snack drawer. Very handy to just have something whenever I need to eat. It’s full of trail mix, protein bars, dates, and occasional frikin candy or “junk” food. It lasts me a really long time! I restock like once a month. It’s just a few things and it makes me happy. I went to read the comments and thought I would see happy things and I saw things that made me want to cry. You don’t know anything about anyone in that video and for you to judge them and make these comment is disgusting. But hey “ThAt’S tHeIr LiFe NoT mInE”

I always wonder.. do people actually eat that much snacks? I mean.. i have a little basket with like.. 3 small bags of cookies and 3 savory crackers, and maybe a bar of chocolate. And it lasts me for months. True, I bake sometimes .. but geez, the amount of plastic and junk food people have. .. it's insane to me.
@MorganChaos Жыл бұрын
most of this stuff is shelf stable and can last months. this is also often families with multiple kids and this is where they grab all their after school snacks
@Ancsocska87 Жыл бұрын
@@MorganChaos I know it's normal for a lot of people. I just grew up in a culture where "afternoon snack" didn't exist. We came home, had a bowl of soup or some cooked food that my mom or grandma made. Snack meant the piece of cake they baked of a fruit from our garden. Pre made, store bought food was considered luxury and also junk food. I get that the normality I had as a child isn't the case anymore for most people, I'm just always in shock when I actually see this...
@ermelinda22238 ай бұрын
@@Ancsocska87what you had was amazing. I think that’s the best way to do it. Even have some dessert or a snack like once a week or even month.. heck I don’t care.. I’m here for that. My family and I we don’t buy a lot of snacks nor desserts/ candy. And if we do and when we do.. it’s like 5 things minimum. Like savory to sweet food/snacks. Right now all we have as a “dessert “are ice cream bars in the fridge haha

The amount of plastic, I could never …
@hotcrazycatladyme168 Жыл бұрын
I was thinking that too. At least she got the reusable juice bottles at some point. It does seem like a waste. It's hard though, because even if you don't want to buy plastic there are so many things you need like milk, bread, pasta, yogurt, etc that are all wrapped in plastic (yes you can buy milk in cartons, but it's not price controlled like the bags of milk are, so it's ridiculously expensive by comparison). So much of it feels pretty well unavoidable. We're all guilty of it on varying levels.
