Giovanni's and Romy's went to shit when they stopped taking care of the locals and began catering to the tourists. Just like Boots and Kimo's who had reasonable priced food but when tourist caught wind of the place they jacked up the prices sky high

Crazy I think that a lot of these places are probably burnt down right now So sad.

I have to say, The Cinnamon Bun Place I found to be too sweet, try Maui Bread Co. Down the street, it is 100% worth it (get there 15 minutes before opening to get in line).

Star noodle is not a vietnamese restaurant. It’s a mixed asian hawaiian restaurant and the chef is filipino. Really good

Plus the thing is all the tourist go to Lahaina and Kihei while the locals are either in Kahului Wailuku Or Haleakala

Aloha! If you want nature...I suggest Kauai! For food, I suggest Oahu. Oahu is a really busy busy place, since it is the main tourism island, you can find a ＴＯＮ of special food! But, there are many things natural, like the beautiful nature place (I don't know the name, reserve?🤭) in wahiawa, and also the Honululu zoo! Don't touch the peacock!
