This video was filimed during the first week of the Missouri snagging season, during 2024! My dad and I spent the day snagging on the Osage River, just up from Truman Lake, near Roscoe, Missouri. We heard reports that the Roscoe area of the Osage River had a decent amount of fish around, so we decided to give it a try. It really paid off! We ended up snagging six paddlefish, with four of them being keepers! The last fish of the day, which was my second keeper of a two fish limit was a banded fish! This means that the Missouri Department of Conservation had previously captured this fish and placed a tag, with an I.D. number in its lip. There is also a scene in this video where we had a very unfortunate hook accident. I added the footage of this into the video to try and educate fishermen on what not to do.
