This was 10 months after my mom had been struck and killed by a courier truck…I moved to Vancouver from Williams lake the same week just to avoid the heartache. Losing a parent is the most painful and difficult thing I’ve ever experienced in life. Hold on to those you love the most, you never know when they are gonna go.

In my father’s 14 years with dementia Alzheimer’s and terminal cancer his in home hospice was the hardest and stressful thing I’ve ever done but I never expressed it to my father. I made sure he was comfortable and the conversation never stopped. Your song gives me the ability to cry and I for some reason can’t cry from suppressing my emotions for so long. I’m so incredibly sorry for your loss and the battle your father and family went through. It was wild that people have said I would break my back to help someone and I literally fractured my spine lifting my father and carried on like it never happened because my father needed my help more than anything. Four months after he passed I started weight loss and dropped 120lbs in twelve months up holding to a promise I made to my father a month before he passed.
