You could tell somebody this was the main theme from a major James Bond movie and they’d probably believe you. This song is both amazing and perfectly fitting of the legendary espionage game it belongs to. The fact this track came from a PS2 title is astounding

I can’t think of a better summation of Metal Gear than the fact that one of the games includes a big, bombastic, James Bond-esque theme song that includes a lyric about eating tree frogs and primarily plays during an obnoxiously long ladder climb.

i just finished the game, i wanna say so far this one is the best in the series ( I only played mgs 1,2,3 5 gv,5 pp, and rising). The theme song is too iconic, this soundtrack as of 2 days ago now holds a special place in my heart, god why didnt I ever pick the metal gear games up in my ps2 days.

I don't know how I did it, but one day in the wee hours of the morning in the summer of '06 I was on the final fight with The Boss in the Subsistence version of the game, and I managed to defeat her just as the song ended: perfectly syncing with the crescendo. I've never managed to replicate it before or since, but it was incredible.

I always remember that before Snake Eater came out MGS was accused of trying to be like a James Bond movie. Then he did a Bond opening in 3 and it still cracks me up to this day. Top tier joke.
