I just stumbled across you. A very new beginner but I have been just utterly obsessed with this lively hobby. Wished I would have gotten into it as a little kid. It sure can be over whelming some times, but you make it seem extremely simple and also enjoyful and rewarding. Such an inspiration. Thank you for doing what you do! ❤

Just came across this video. Not to sound ignorant but I understand you were doing that for a client. So, I can take my plants to a professional and have them repot it in the appropriate pot and soil as well as combat any possible fungus and remove all dead/damaged leaves. I understand that I can do all this myself but lack of knowledge could also ruin my plant. Thank you for this video. Never thought about taking my plants to the doctor for a wellness visit! 😁

Great video! I agree, seems like dry rot, severe underwatering. When the snake plant starts to wither at the base, it's time to water. Thanks for sharing and educating on dry-rot!

I’m guilty with dry rot death. Like you mentioned I over neglect these for fear of too much water and continue to lose snake plants. Can’t find that happy medium. Only have a few snake plants left one bring my Sayuri which I love and will hate to lose.

one small feedback - could the captions be slightly lower in the future so we can see the plant/roots better? :)

This is awesome I was just wondering if I could use orchid pots for my sansevieria/hahnii collection. How can I make my own succulent soil?

Thank you for sharing the snake plant info. One of my plant, have a taco shape (leaf curling inwards) and wrinkly. I water every 2 weeks & the plant sits south facing window. If water more often will the leaf go back to normal or stay taco wrinkly?

Hey Tanner, thanks for the video! I'm pretty confident that I have dry rot on my snake plant. The roots where falling away incredibly easy, and I found a hollow sprout under the soil. The root balls soil seems to be very compact and hard to break up without breaking off more roots. Would you say its probably better to break up that root ball to better inspect the situation or leave it?

I checked the roots on my snake plant and the vast majority have snapped off. I am left with about 1cm of roots that are very weak and spindly. I think the soil was too wet- I didn't know it was a succulent. I have removed the soil completely and placed the crown in water, it's been a week now and roots are starting to regrow. Is this a good method to regrow the roots of this plant?

❤ Sir, I have a question please. I’ve seen snake plants being grown in water. Can you please address that? Is it possible to save any of leaves if there is no root . Blessed for the sharing of all your knowledge, thank you! 😊❤

Why not separate the plant into smaller groups? Would that not have been healthier for the plant overall?
