That's wild! That you just DISCOVERED a litter of pinkies in one of your boxes?? I guess that's the kind of thing that can happen when you run a breeding operation! I wonder if next video we will see the mama mouse running around in the car?? :D

if i had found a litter of pinkies every time when one of my feeders managed to escape during the cleaning day i would have a lot more feeders than i know what to do with :D but yeah, after several dozens of litters you really just scoop them up like a handfull of wiggly jelly beans. as for the mom, i wouldn't be surprised by finding her in the car or even back in the expo in one of other boxes

They're clearly too young to be terrified or even understand what's happening or struggle for too long while trying to fight the reptile for survival like an older mouse would. Its not ideal but their end was Far better then slowly starving to death.

Its actually really good for kids to talk to them like a regular human being rather than trying to baby talk them. It makes them feel like you're taking them seriously and value their thoughts and opinions. And if they're young it'll help their brains understand more complex language faster. In general it just shows you respect them and kids will respond well to people who treat them as their own person. Kids are way more intelligent than they're given credit for :)

I know the pinkies are now food, and no longer with us, but mother had to be very very close. Possibly birthed on the ride down.

Me, watching the pinkies segment of this video while I'm literally snuggling 3 of my rat boys: **internal screaming** But I do get it. When you said you wouldn't be showing the mouths you found that would eat the pinkies I literally, vocally, said "thank you". ALSO. BEFORE I GET PEOPLE COMING FOR ME IN REPLIES BECAUSE IT DOES HAPPEN, READ BELOW. I fully understand what you did and I am fine with it. Like, what else could you have possibly done with freshly born mice? They probably would've ended up dying anyways without mama to feed them. So the obvious choice was to give them a purpose which was feeding some hungry noodles. EDIT: I am a rodent lover, first and foremost. But I do love reptiles too. I just prefer my rats. Hence my initial reaction upon seeing the baby beans. My best friend, funnily enough, is the one with the reptiles and aquatic animals (axolotls, fish, etc.). EDIT Again: Please do not bring your negativity to my comment. If you have an issue with how they handled the situation, please make your own comment. Do not put it on mine.

@@TaraMichelleMD to be fair, the mom was nowhere in sight, they didn’t have any means of proper euthanasia with them, and honestly, if they were in the wild, mom wasn’t around, it’s highly likely they would’ve been eaten in the wild, or died on their own, then eaten. At the very least by giving them to reptile vendors, it is a nice treat for the reptiles, who if in the wild, would be eating them anyway. Fun fact: While "ak-sah-lot-l" is considered an acceptable and correct way to pronounce the animal's name in English-speaking places, in Nahuatl/Nawatl (the language it comes from) it is pronounced "ah-SHOW-lote." There's an L sound at the end that isn't an English L, you would have to listen to a native speaker say it to understand how to make the sound in your mouth. I would have mothered those pinkies so hard and they each would have been named. I see I am the odd one out in the reptile community xD (yes of course I feed them to animals, too). I just couldn't have resisted cherishing a surprise litter.

kinda fucked up how you handled the pinkies in the beginning. like they are still living animals, who were also freshly born and you run around with them in your hand are pretty loud just give kinda drop them on a view people for a "funny" bit. Just feed them to an animal and get along with the video there was absolutely no need to stress them out before feeding them, especially not for a joke

I enjoyed this episode and I'm looking forward to the next one but admittedly the joke with the pinkies rubbed me the wrong way. Feeder animals or not, they're still babies that had no control over where they were born. Totally fine with them being handed off to feed a reptile because that's what they're bred for and caring for them while travelling is unrealistic but I personally feel dropping them into people's hands and making the joke of them being like candy was unnecessary, harmless for the most part but still.

I have a pet snake...and I know they pinkies are food for them but myself didn't feel comfortable with that. I stopped the video because if that. before somone say something. Yes we know that they are food but still they are not toys and they could've handled that different. Like cut this part and tell us they found somone for them. Even as food for a snake or give to somone who knew how to take care for them. Not like that. It was strange not funny...and it got me to the point where I didn't want to finish this video because of that. I really like this channel...but this was...not my humor.

i can see how they took the joke too far, probably didnt realise while editing. Yea i think we all understand its totally okay to use them as food but the joke took too much time and by the end became weird. Toying with live food isnt funny lol

Yeah I was feeling the same way, as an animal lover I had to get over the fact that I had to feed mice to my new snake at the time and hoping that their deaths were quick and painless. But seeing the babies being dumped into hands and dropped etc. made me really sad, it’s hard to watch the rest of the video without thinking about the beginning. I think maybe breeders get so used to having feeders that they start seeing them as objects.

You're talking like they are kittens or something. Pinkies have no neural connections in their "brains". They don't feel pain. It's a fetus that dies in a few hours.

I understand snakes have to eat, but, poor pinkies. No disrespect intended, but they were kind of being roughly handled. They may be used as feeders, but they still deserve respect. Kind of surprised you treated them like that
