I live on a farm and it’s what started my love of snakes! We get huge black rat snakes and a lot of tiny ring necks, we move them out of our way just so they don’t get harmed while we work but they stay on the property so that when we’re done they can come back in and do their job!

This is the first video I've ever seen from you guys, and it got me hooked immediately. You guys also got me into reptiles, and encouraged me to research, and gain knowledge on hundreds of species. And 5 years later I'm watching it again. And the importance of today is that I have my first snake ever! I know it's a completely different breed but every time you show Cheyenne, I remember my grandmother's African Gray, Skipper. He was raised in a military family that swore a lot so whenever he felt he wasn't getting attention he'd yell OH SH*T, or other more interesting phrases. Unfortunately he has passed since, but the way Cheyenne bobs about in the background reminds me of him.

I love the fact that they have a beautiful snake and she says it's amazing but due to their weak immune systems she won't breed him... not many people will think the same. Some just want to breed it because they want money (like spider ball pythons). Truly an amazing person!!!! Thank you Emily and Ed for showing us that people still care

This channel is why I have a ball python. one day I was listening to an audio book that had snakes in it and I asked my mom if we could get a snake so I looked online to see if snakes were good pets and found this channel and I fell in love with ball pythons so I watched more videos on ball pythons and got one which I now love so so much she is an amazing pet and i just want to say thanks to Ed and Emily

When I started liking reptiles, it started with my third box turtle, Tur-Tur. She is one of my current turtles, ( I have three other box turtles ) but me and her have a very unique relationship. She will take naps on my lap. She's a three toed box turtle, and she was rescued by a hawk attack. Sadly, she had to get one of her back feet removed. But three years later, she is happy and healthy hanging out with her other box turtle friends.

California Kingsnakes can be very mild tempered and easy to handle even fresh caught in the wild, as long as you come at them deliberately but semi slow, a fast grab will incite the fear instinct and they will try to bite, also dont grab them hard or in back of the head because that will trigger the self defense mode as well. Pick them up balancing the front half with the back so it's not hanging there straight up and down that's also a no no! The best way is to use a snake hook for the front and use your left hand to balance the tail, they usually calm down rather quickly, as do California Gopher Snakes!
