I think Grom's ability could return, but not like before. Like, his attacks at close range don't need to take that long, but they also don't need to be instantaneous. So... they could take, for example, half the time it takes nowadays (at close range) to damage the enemy

I really miss the old Darryl with his 90% incomming damages reduction for a few seconds.

You forgot Brock and Bea in 2020 because of their second gadget; Brock second gadget has bigger rocket means bigger damage and faster speed and can hit one shot and Bea second gadget was insane. Her bees can reach up to about 3000+ maximum damage

You missed quite a few of the old ones. This includes old Darryl in Heist, day 1 Shelly, Bo’s instantantaneous detonation gadget, Colt and Rico’s ridiculous shot width, Crow’s ridiculous damage output, etc. OP Beta brawlers are pretty obscure though

You forgot Shelly in 2023. She was a menace with her very fast movement speed, finally giving her a gap closer along with one of the best gadgets in the game.

dude I think the one of the most broken brawlers was brawlidays edgar. he was so powerful on release and filled lobbies, did so much damage and healed himself so much. he was literally a one-man team until supercell removed his triple punch to a double and nerfed him to the ground

also you missed how darryl's super was way longer and he was very fun and good to play in heist

The thing about ryu is that he's supposed to be basic and an all rounder so that's why he can't get as much crazy shit like Ken and Akuma, these two are rush down characters and they can get more tools specialized around their playstyle.

All these brawlers are very OP. But all time here is my top: 3. Leon 2018 (he was too powerful and the fact that you couldnt see him when he was close was very OP) 2. Amber 2020 (I remember playing against her and she killing me in like 3 seconds even though I had like Bull or smth. Too op) 1. Larry&Lawrie 2024 (The fact that he was so easy to get and that he sometimes one shot or three shot a Bull or Frank with a lot of powers and his starpower dealing 100% damage to Lawrie instead of him dude. I could spawn Lawrie go in a Bull that has 8 powers and still win. Too OP)

Gale was actually really trash with the big attack area and the knockback of the super, the only good thing about him was his launchpad, it was very cheesy Eve also had piper’s range and dealt a lot more damage

As an old player who stop at 2022, I can say that you forgot a lot of meta who were also rage full -The Bo meta when his gadget Tripwire hasn’t any delay -The Brock meta when his super rocket hit 100% more damage, causing some nerf that even today they still there -The second Brock meta where his zone was too wide The Belle meta when she fucking outranged Piper and Bee wtf ??! The Jacky meta when she dealed too much damage and had their first sp had the same range as her classic one -another Barley meta along with Belle when he got a range buff -Spike meta -Crow meta when he used to slow for 5 second holy shit -Tara meta when she got buff damages Jesse meta when dealed 1500 per shot aujourd’hui bounce -Penny meta when her kit totally changed -Darryl meta when he had a 30% shield 5 secs after his super -Darryl beta meta when he was able to stack his super thank to water Aaaand those are all of the meta I remember
