i swear they nerfed 9L flare resistance this update cuz before i could hit a flaring, not afterburning f14, f4, or mig29 from behind every time, but now it won’t even track an afterburning f14a

@@Bobert_da_man see idk because I'm flying out the mig23m right now, and granted it only has 12 flares but when I flare and maneuver, sometimes the 9ls still hit whereas in my f16, the 9ls always miss when I pop one thing of flares. Maybe the 23M just runs a little hotter but idk

i dont want to go back to pre-9L nerf. don't want dumping half my countermeasure just to evade 1 9L. Flaring IR missiles is a game mechanic and should stay that way. If you don't want your opponent to see them, launch from above or below your target.

@@TheLastApplePie the fkin problem is having the 9L's and R60s be more flare resistant would completely fk over Br's 9-11 since alot of planes there either have no flares or very very few flares. Which is complete BS as it is right now but buffing the 9Ls and R60s would fk them up even more.

I don't know how you guys are saying 9Ls and R60s have been flare resistance nerfed. I dont know about after this specific update, cause I haven't been able to play, but before it, as much as it was a rear aspect shoot at around 2-2.5 km, most of my Ls hit, and R60s the same but at much less distance.

If or when mid cold war era bombers will be added - these interceptors will have a place in game. (Ye)E-152/155, Su-15, Tu-128 and Yak-28P as Soviet version of Vatour. It's not going to be an easy task to intercept B-1 Lancer or Tu-22. Ton of flare/chaff, ECM, radar guided rear turret (for Tupolev series). And there's a lot of such things that already may have a place to be in game. I just hope none of us will drop the game itself, before this birds will arrive.

i disagree my best plane is the f16a. I play at about angels 10-15 i flank hard right and defend fox 1s then turn in as the enemy team gets past the mid point so that im mostly looking at all engines. never take a full headon or get closer than 3-5mi in a headon unless its late game so i can defend a fox one if i have to and i tend to get at least 3 or so kills a game if not more usually without dying. 9Ls are just amazing missiles when fired in the rear aspect from almost any situation under 4mi, and being high and not spending any time looking at a radar gives you alot more situational awareness to defend missiles or get position for a fight. this playstyle garners the best outcomes in any top tier plane in my opinion tho

@@desertrecce5676 i agree with you, my best plane is mig 29, most of the time i get kill by outplaying f14 up above and after releasing 2 R27ERs i have much more situation awareness. Also 500 games with the mig21s bring the feeling you dont need radar missile

@@desertrecce5676 this Playstyle isn't exclusive to the IR only F16, you can do the exact same thing in any F16, just with other variants you can also kill people who are 10-15km away as well when the need arises, which it will. You won't be getting a flank on 4+ people consistently so the need for 6 IR missiles isn't there and the performance drop from having 2 sparrows isn't nothing but also isn't a major factor, particularly when balanced out by the increase in firepower.

@@Beulena. yeah that’s fair. i guess i personally just really don’t like sparrows as their so outclassed by the r27er even though they never would’ve met each other irl. by the time the soviets had the r27er out of r&d the US had already began fielding the aim 120. trying to crank and hold a lock with a missile that i know is worse in every way from its in game counterpart that is most likely being shot at me isn’t worth the risk imo. as you almost always either lose the missile cuz sparrows suck or get out sped by the er. even when i play the adf i take all 9Ls and it works so much better for me. that experience seems to be very different from most tho

i have been having issues with no engine sounds on enemies in both air and ground and random rocket sounds when nobody is around me in the air makes playing really aggravating when people can randomly creep up your ass without you hearing them

J-7E could not carry Pl-8's. The later J-7G was able to. J-7E had center of mass issues with them equipped so the PLAAF never used them on it other than for initial trials. The J-7G designed later as an improvement fixed this issue and was able to carry them. What the J-7E needs is the Pl-5C/E's, that is an all aspect Pl-5 that would let it at least be not worthless. Would be very nice to get the J-7G with Pl-8's and it's radar too.

it is,PL8 share same ability to flares with 9L,but its FOV is a bit bigger than AIM9L,so AIM9L will be easier to ignore flares

SARH's are still pretty easy to counter and mid match picks are pretty damn important to win games right now, and with invisible missiles being as prominent as they are right now, ratting around and firing decently flare resistant 40g mini-R24T's is a good recipe for influencing matches. You should coordinate with your real heavy hitters though.

It's a localization mod of some kind, the 150 refers to the block number (basically the subvariant of that plane). Although the mod isn't always correct it seems..? Because a F-16 block 65.. what even is that? I suppose that would be a typo of block 15. EDIT: Oh wait I'm stupid, I misread, it says F-14-65, yeah that just refers to the F-14A we have in game, a block 65.
