A little off subject, but what do you think about these glide baits for deep jigging lake trout? I fish for them in Lake Michigan in June and July, usually 50-80 feet so getting down is key. Have used heavy white tube jigs, spoons, jigs. But these seem like they’d get down and give off some vibration which lake trout seem to go for. They are usually feeding on alewives and gobies.

Those jigs look nice. I'll have to try them on some walleye that get a lot of pressure. Northland is my go to for a couple products. I reached out to them to help with their baits and they ignored me.

You can use a snap for sure - we prefer to tie direct. Feels like we get the most action out of our baits.

Looks like you used a uni-knot on the fluorocarbon leader. Yes? Love the uni. Might also benefit from a non-slip loop. 😊

Call me grumpy but like Rapala, you have a plastic glued on tail which will go to hell. I buy other brands that are solid. The tail goes, the lure is now a sinker. Kind of a planned obsolescense factor. Good video though

The body and tail are connected and encased within a resin mold on the new pitchin’ puppet. A ton more durable and broken fins are not as common. They are built like army tanks!

Well, I gotta try a couple then. Thanks and sorry for the wrong evaluation. I just am sick of Rapala fins coming off and ice augers with plastic triggers for the speed that break and all the silly structure choices. And then they say " we made the trigger plastic so your auger would weight less". ya, right . . . @@SportsmansJournalTV
