As a sparky, I only really use this tool to cut tie wire. Nothing works better. I know the angled head can be used to pry open nails.

I love the green handles on the Snap-on and the cutting angle. Thanks Doc

For decades I've yet to have issue with my Knipex cutters... one pair each of the 200mm regular; & 250mm notched blade 'Cobolt' version. They both see daily use... with no coddling.

Hello again, Doc Thank you for another Great Video 👍 My current cutter is a relatively new Craftsman. It's only been used lightly to date. Cutting cotter keys and safety wire mostly. But I am researching for my next tool purchase. A good cutter is always needed. 👌 Again thank you

Once my friend showed me how good those long snap on ones are for pulling cotter pins they are my go to for that. I actually have the titans and some other brand and they are not like the snap on. Even long knipex are not as good as the snap on even though they might cut a little better. I carry the Klein crimper/ cutters that are straight for my zip tie and wire cutting and knipex 8in bolt cutters in my bag every day. I don’t work w pins though at work

I'm about to get those Klein's. Home Depot has them for $30, and my military discount knocks them down to $27.

Have all three, the 388 is good for cotter pins. The 312's I have just won't loosen up. Tried leaving the pivot/blades in penetrating oil for 2 months, tried cutting oil, out them on a recip saw, still annoyingly tight.

Try diamond paste. It may help to loosen them up.

those are diagonal cutters
@ptstouring4928 күн бұрын
The J2000-59 is a diagonal cutter as described by Klein, not a side cutter. A side cutter has cutting jaws parallel to the handles. Diagonal, well, they are diagonal to the pliers handle. 😂

3:30.. yeah.. those Klein are under $20... the SnapOn on are 5-6 times more money..true to SnapOn ☝️

Where are those under $20? Those are the 9" with journeyman handles and are about $40 and the 8" with standard handles are $30 with straight head and $34 with angle head. You might have been looking at the mini for 20 but not the 8 or 9 inch

To my knowledge, Harbor Freight does not make a cutter in this space.
