Amazing! Thank you very much for this. Using a very soft spring works extremely well for me. The hard part is removing the original spring without making it fly away ;)

Love your solution. Don't introduce any math. Everyone who's got a 3d printer will have a pen. Good work!

Its funny how something that simple can change so much. Tossed that spring in my print head and it runs TPU great. Nice work, man! Love your videos. Great editing and tunes! Snapmaker comments "Cool" More like "Busted. We arent going to make some extra change off these people."

Wow! Just changed the spring and it seems to be working! Don't wanna jinx it I just started the print but I'll be back to give an update. *Update: The print executed very well. This is a good fix. Still some stringing issues but at least I get a consistent extrusion. Thanks for the help.

Just started using TPU in my Snapmaker. Hadn’t thought about the extruder spring but I’ll keep it in reserve. So far printing at slow speed (20mm/s) and temperature towards the top of the filament manufacturer’s recommended temperature range (220) has produced acceptable results but lots of stringing. I have however been really pedantic about keeping the filament dry. I must try a tire like the one in this video. But it will take a looooong time.

Dry it out in the oven around 60c for 1hr. Or print directly from a dry box

Hi, thank you for that grate tip. Worked also perfectly for me. Normal PLA Profile with little higher temperatures. (220°C Extruder, 80°C Bed).

Thank you for this! Tried the adapter and it didn't help. This is a good fix for extremely squishy filament. I believe the issue is the guide roller compresses the filament until it touches the gear, then the filament gets rolled under the guide roller and bunches up. With this mod the if the filament stops, the roller stops with it, preventing it from getting pulled under. And the mod is so easy. I have a feeling the adapter wouldn't even be necessary, will test later.

Can someone tell me what I have to activate so that the printer extrudes the filament outside of the print bed before the actual print starts. Thx

Esun calls it TPE 82a. Very good filament. It's like rubber.

@@MrGoodcat1 you showed a badly printed tire and a good one and said they were the same file. The poorly printed tire was much much smaller than the good tire. I don't think it was the same file. Bad prints don't shrink that much
@MrGoodcat1
@MrGoodcat1 2 жыл бұрын
@@MrBortxxAhh It was much smaller cause i stopped printing there was no logic to continue. That was maybe 10th try, so i have rotated tire to see the result faster
