I must say, not only is your tools and boxes amazingly clean and organized but so is the shop. This says a lot about you being detail orientated. You've got it!!! I hope someday to have a set up like yours. Thank you for sharing this with use. God bless America.

thank you! im ocd so i have to have order or i cant function well, and i have engines tore apart all the time so i want it as clean as possible. Taking them apart is one thing but when i put them back together, i dont want dirt everywhere. I dont open the big doors or run the fan either, only air movement is what the a/c moves.

Kris Morse yea they do work great. Mine just bend and break a lot so I done some searching and found those and they can also engrave the sizes for you as well. I got the clip style tray right now but they are beginning to be a pain to get out especially if I don't use a certain one a lot I'll have to pull it with some needle nose pliers. Lol.

Nice setup, i used to be a Auto Body Technician and licensed Mechanic, i was for about a decade, i was a top shelf guy for years,, got out of the business, nothing but exploitation and greedy business owners always hiring illegal immigrants driving down wages,, Always wanted to get my tool setup going but never seen the point in investing 20,000-50,000 dollars worth of tools when i was only making 500 hundred bucks a week lol After gas and eating during the week i would make like 350$$ a week, i was better off working at Wal-Mart, at least they had benefits, lol The trade is basically dead, unless you own your own shop,, Anyway's nice setup have a good one,

Very nice collection. I have the same box with the top chest and two side lockers. One on each side. I need to move it. Do you think i will have problem dragging one end or another loading it on to a rollback tow truck???? I am about ready to quit my job because my company expects me keep laborers busy with my personal tools. I am so freaking pissed and looking for a new job. Could you imagine 10 idiots working out of your box. Your screwdriver becomes a pry bar. your ratchet is a handy hammer. etc etc ect and top top it off... at "quitting time" the tools fall to the ground, dirt,shop floor. Its the worst disrespect I have ever been thru. Sometimes i wish i never expanded so much. Kinda hard not to do after 30 years. I have 15 to go. Any ideas...?
@krismorse52968 жыл бұрын
well...to put it on a roll off you will probably have to remove a locker, fold up a heavy blanket put a strap around it and winch it on as for the other situation....it should never be your responsibility to supply coworkers with "your" tools. there's no way I would tolerate it, I only have one other person that helps, he knows I'm ocd and respects my shop rules. I don't know the value of my tool collection but I know its alot and I sure would hate to lose any if it and it sounds like in your situation it could happen very easy.

I agree. I love tools and I'm a mechanic and tool hoarder as well... But this video there's so many doubles and triples of things. I get it, sometimes you do need 2 of the same size wrench for certain cases ...but Buying the whole kit for the 1 piece you don't have is overkill. I'd just buy what I'm missing from Ebay rather than buying a whole freakin kit.. That's how these companies get you.

Very nice set up , seems like you have an OCD obsession with collecting Snapon tools . Do you feel that you buy a lot of tools because you feel you want them not need them ? I just get a feeling that if you buy one set it's a must that you buy the other one because it feels incomplete if you don't .
@krismorse52968 жыл бұрын
well...I'm am ODC about most things, especially my shop and tools. things have to be neat, clean and tidy. I treat every engine overhaul as if it were open heart surgery. my shop is VERY clean. the company I build for are extremely happy with my work. as far as the tools, snapon is absolutely an obsession with me. I wouldn't consider any other when it comes to metal tools. ( ratchets, sockets, wrenches etc.) I don't care what anyone says, snapon is the best. some people drink, some do drugs ........I buy tools, tools are my drug.

+Kris Morse Very well said , I wouldn't question the quality or passion in you work at all , it shows by the way you keep your tools and shop . That's what made me think of tool collection.

God bless and Happy new year to you and yours Kris . Yes I'm still jealous of your equipment. Who wouldn't be, but you modest and I like that in a man shows good bringing up Daz UK

Ross Charlie i thank you for liking my setup and for the kind words. im will have to look him up, i too love looking at tools, never gets old! im not in competition with anyone, i buy what i like. there are guys on here that dont agree with what i have, thats fine but i dont understand why they care, they are not paying for it, the kids are married and on their own, i dont have any hobbys, i dont travel, i dont do drugs or drink, i mind my own business and buy tools!!
@rosscharlie53497 жыл бұрын
That soundS fair enough Kris No one to please but yourself ,other folks don't like its their problem . I admire what you've achieved . You/we are lucky in so much as our work entails our hobby (it did in my case) As you have rightly said its your hard earned money that buys you the tools to make the money in the 1st place. I'm asked to lend tools out which I used to do, till I caught a neighbour beating on a 1'4 drive ratchet .The guy couldn't work out why I was upset ,he was hitting it with a club hammer to undo a battery terminal . I've been collecting since I was 16 survived to major tool thefts and the club hammer was the last straw but what really P.O'D me was "but there only steel" To him yes but not to me I'd sooner do the job for them if I can 1 guy came to show me a socket set he'd just bought. He was smiling ear to ear about it . I didn't have the hart to say to him when he told me he'd be catching up to me soon that what he paid for his 53 piece set I might just get away with buying a 10,11 mm wrench for . To make sure he's not laughed at by the 3 other guys down the street who really love themselves I gave him last years Snap On catalogue that I'd scribbled some prices on ,because these guys would think nothing of making fun of him Where I incourage him They would be the equivalent of the school yard bullies All ways bragging what this or that cost. Take care Kris speak soon I hope Daz

Jim Farmall ive never added up all of it. i did once last winter add up what it would cost to replace the boxes and top row of drawers (1/4"-1/2" ratchets, sockets) and it was about $78,000.00 and ive been adding to it so i would guess all together theres 200K+

dude why do all of your tools look new and like they never been used? u must be a dealer. i have been collecting snap on for years and use them daily. i clean them and put them back after im done using them . it just doesn't add up to as why your tools are sooooo clean!!! what kind of work do you do?
@krismorse52968 жыл бұрын
my tools look good because i clean them before they go back in the box, i dont even want finger prints on them, im OCD so things have to be very clean. im not a dealer. ive been buying snapon tools since 1988. i have my own shop and i do machining (lathe, mill, etc.) and i work on farm equipment, semis, construction equipment, rebuild engines, cylinder heads, hydraulic cylinders and pumps.
