► Embroidery Machine - To do this in a single hooping, you'll need at least a 9x12 hoop. It can be done with a 6x10 hoop using multiple hoopings and then some of the larger applique pieces will need to be stitched with a domestic sewing machine. I've watched all these videos. Learning SO MUCH because I can make my screen larger (not watching the chat) and see what buttons you are using! Good morning from CA! Enjoyed watching today but will have to rewatch when I get to working on this quilt. Just got home yesterday from a Friday-Monday trip to spend time with my kids and grandson who live out of state. Look forward to hearing about the cruise.

Good morning. I’m sooo confused by why we flip the pieces sometimes and don’t other times. Please helppppp

@ss2short, The pattern pieces are designed and print out “flipped” backwards since people who don’t use a cutting machine trace them onto the paper side of their fused fabric and cut by hand. When they turn the cut pieces over, they’re seeing them right side up. So if you’re cutting your pieces on the SnC “pretty side down” (right side of the fabric down - like on a very new or sticky mat - keep the paper on for that), you don’t need to flip your images in Brother Workspace because they’ll be cutting out just like if you were doing it manually. But if you’re cutting your fabric “pretty side of the fabric up” (take the interfacing backing paper off for that and don’t use a very sticky mat), you need to flip them in Workspace first so the images end up “right side up.” I hope that helps.
