I'm a moon gel fan. Have them on all my shells except the kick of course. I love the idea of this though. Being able to add or subtract to it and removing it altogether quickly if wanted. More than anything, I want that snare!!!! Sounds and looks great.

I like the fact that it lets your drum keep the tuning of the drum. bfsd kinda gives you one sound and only that sound. I feel like you can get a lot of different sounds without drastically changing the tuning of your snare. just my opinion tho. I may have no idea what I'm talking about 😂

+Kaden Lawson I would say you're right but you're completely comparing apples and oranges :) Simply put, we own and love both, they serve different purposes. Big Fat Snare Drum is not only a REALLY cool and extremely useful one trick pony, but it's consistent. SnareWeight is an amazing tool that requires a great source sound (i.e. It won't fix a band sounding snare drum the way a BFSD will). You're not far off Kaden!

Bobby K Agree. But you gotta think not all harmonics are nice. If u have an aweful drum when you get not the best backline at a venue, a solution like this one is amazing!!! Maybe not for your beautiful hand picked drums, but for sime effects and part of a song or a whole song, it's really a great idea to jist snap on and off. Check snareweight M1. Amazing! Gonna get one for the gig tomorrow in a nother city where I dunno how the snare's gonna be.

Overpriced way of dampening a drum. I can literally dampen the whole kit for the price of one snareweight. I'm personally using the Aquarian t-Tab for my snare and for my needs, it's doing what it's supposed to do plus I can literally play on its surface. I'm not saying snareweight won't be effective, just that it's priced way too high.

Hey Josh, we've tried many different wallets and there really isn't a comparison. The snare weight backs off in a really nice way and stays mounted firmly on the ring. Attaching a wallet can be tricky so that it stays on. This isn't for everyone but certainly isn't a waste of money to the many professionals we know who buy and swear by snare weight. Have you tried one?

We find it surprisingly useful when other gels dampen too much and we want a specific sound. Pretty awesome from our perspective, and we're not paid to say that ;)
