Her mom bought her way into her college and its totes illegal. I think its bribery or something, I'm not completely sure. I just know celebrities & rich people are getting exposed for it and they're facing some serious criminal charges because of it.

Her mother is caught up in a college admissions scandal where Olivia’s mother essentially bought the way for Olivia into college. Olivia got in because her mother used a company called Key where they bribe college admissions or maybe fake a sports resume. And people are upset because tons of really rich parents bought their children’s way into college which is really unfair to the students who worked really hard in school or at a certain sport.
