Ship to Shore PhonoCo is proud to continue its relationship with Konami Digital Entertainment with the first ever official release of the SNATCHER soundtrack. Originally released for the PC-8801 in Japan, SNATCHER was later localized into English and ported to the ill-fated Sega CD. Over the years, the game (and its music) have developed an indellible cult following that persists to this day!

Snatcher and Policenauts are remarkable games with astounding soundtracks. It’s a shame Hideo got so hung up on making MGS games because we never really got a successor to Snatcher or Policenauts. Both games deserves a mobile port, they’d be amazing on tablet or the Switch.

It's the song that plays during the opening credits roll, right after the voiceover intro. It reminds me so much of Cowboy Bebop or Gundam Wing or something.

There's a song that plays when you first meet Random and I cannot find the song without them talking during it. Another song I've been looking for is the song that plays when Metal Gear guides the beam to destroy the factory/church. I know I'm wishing on a star but, worth a shot.

Just to clarify some of the tracks names on this soundtrack are incorrect. (The label issuing the soundtrack got them wrong not the uploader.) The track called "Danger Dance 1" is actually called "Creeping Silence". The track called "Danger Dance 2" is called "Criminal Omen". The actual track "Danger Dance and Justice All" isn't on the soundtrack but you can hear it here kzfaq.info/get/bejne/eJyBoKaJranQY5c.html The track "The Entrance To Outer Heaven" is called "The Entrance to Hell" The track "Pleasure of Tension 2" is called "Pleasure of Tension" The track "Pleasure of Tension 3" is called "Endless Pursuer" The track "Pleasure of Tension" is called "Pressure of Tension" The track "Merry Xmas Neo Kobe City" is called "Jingle Bell 2042"

Yep, I was so confused by the multiple Pleasure of Tension tracks. I'd have to see the track name in Japanese but I'm pretty sure "pleasure" is a translation error. "Pu re" could go either way but it should have been pressure across the board.

The use of stereo delay is way ahead of its time. I don’t know why it says 1988, I’m almost positive this game was 1994.

The original version was released on the PC 8801 in 1988 then ported to the msx2 the same year an improved version was released on the PC engine cd in 1992. That version was ported to the sega cd

Its mostly based on the Sega CD soundtrack. some tracks (indicated by asterisk in the description) are taken from the Snatcher Zoomtracks CD.

@@PerpetualAlfa youtube doesn't compress like that ! youtube only lowers the volume to -3.8db and uses aac audio but the audio itself has been compressed while being recorded from vinyl . i am an audio engineer and i have uploaded a lot of songs on youtube they never got compressed with auto gain like this one !
