Helpful, mostly for which canbus to select as the list is long. I have a Vauxhall, so the steering wheel is on the other side, when I removed the glovebox I had lots of room to guide the wire bundle to the left side and up, this way the cable was long enough. Also the bracket that gets mounted I made a big hole in the centre, this allowed much better access to route the cables to the back of the unit. I just left the little speaker with the gps antenna in the area behind the screen and everything seems to work fine.

Well done! I've recently installed a reversing camera, I'll get an android head unit next year! For all those that want to make it easier to position the camera, If you undo all the bolts related to the badge panel (x4 I think, might be 7/8mm spanner), go carefully because there are some plastic clips that need pinching together before it will move. They are bright yellow and you might be able to do what I did and poke them from inside the metal work so they don't break with a long thin screwdriver. Be careful as you don't want to crack the glass! As you slowly lift it off, unclip all the wires from the number plate illumination lights and it will come completely free of the car. While your there, get a wet cloth and give everything a bloody good clean because it will be grimy! I marked a groove smack in the centre above where the wire can pass through just above the number plate, and then drilled two holes and screwed the camera to this whole plastic assembly. much easier than try messing with the lights. In the future, if i want to install a different camera, I'll just remove this plate again and make the swap.

Dank je voor de reactie. De DAB+ module is bedacht voor het gebruiksgemak. Zelf zou ik mij prima redden met internet radio maar mijn vrouw is niet echt handig hierin. Met de dab module dacht ik dat het dan hetzelfde werkt als met de standaard radio. Als het te ingewikkeld wordt weet ik dat ze het niet meer gaat gebruiken. Ze gaat vooral de radio, carkit en navigatie gebruiken. Verder zal ze er niets mee doen verwacht ik.

Do the original stereo buttons still work in most functions. I suspect you will lose some of them but is volume still used and skip track etc if your using apple car play apps like Spotify

Hi, great video and all works great except it seems to forget all my presets overnight. Looks like it's all setup correctly but I'm gussing it doesn't have standby power overnight and then forgets the presets. Do they not have an internal battery. Any help would be great. Thanks

I also noticed that on the front panel that was used for the old radio the arrows to search for stations do not work, only the wheel works to change stations and then the number 2 button instead of making you hear a station sends you to stand by the screen darkening it

sorry but have you checked if we can still use the aux input of the car? because maybe that is connected directly to the speakers not the original radio that was mounted before, so we can probably still use it

Question regarding the reverse camera. Did you connect the camera to another power supply and earth or did you just connect it to the radio ? My camera has yellow Video and two wires red and black wires and at the radio end yellow Video and pink and two blue wires 🤔
