About Southern Charm:
New relationships are forged alongside new resentments, but old habits die hard as these southern socialites grapple with shocking allegations that could fracture what were thought to be unbreakable bonds.
Fresh off a sabbatical in Australia, Shep has returned to Charleston and is ready to work on a friendship with Taylor, which proves difficult when he hears rumors about what she’s been up to while he was Down Under.
Taylor is still working through her breakup with Shep and has been leaning on best friend Olivia for support. When a potential hookup of hers is revealed, Taylor denies the allegations and is unapologetic about enjoying her single life.
Olivia has put Austen in the rearview as she explores the dating scene and focuses on her female friendships, but a confusing betrayal leaves her questioning whom she can truly trust.
After his hot-and-cold relationship with Olivia freezes over, Austen is left wondering why his romantic endeavors never work out. Now some of his closest friendships come into question when dating rumors start to surface.
The construction on Craig’s house is a work-in-progress, and so is his relationship status with Paige. Craig finds himself in dating limbo and is hoping for her to commit to a move down south.
Newly married Madison is settling into domestic bliss, with husband Brett splitting his time between Charleston and California. Though she is focused on mending friendships, she doesn’t suffer fools gladly and fires back at anyone who attempts to bring her down.
With a stable new beau in her life, Venita has left the feud with Madison in the past and is focused on new friendships with Olivia and Taylor. She’s not afraid to call out transgressions within the group and take sides if necessary.
JT is a successful southern eccentric with a loud personality. Buoyed by his professional prowesses, he’s looking for a partner to spend the rest of his life with and has a particular southern belle in mind.
Leva continues to be the voice of reason, providing a shoulder to lean on for the ladies and offering sage advice about the Holy City’s Peter Pans.
Rod is a staple in the Charleston social scene and a quintessential southern gent who has swept Olivia off her feet, regardless of who that might upset.
Rodrigo is an interior designer in a long-term relationship with boyfriend Tyler. He has been friends with the Charmers for many years and helps to keep them grounded.

Shep and Whitney being like "Paige should be here" when they've never HAD to truly work a day in their lives because they have sufficient family wealth is so annoying. Meanwhile Paige has a real job (her podcast) and can't travel at the drop of the hat, because she's a regular person. Was it poor planning on Craig's part to schedule a get to know Paige trip without asking her for her availability first? Absolutely. Does it suggest anything negative about the strength of Paige & Craig's long term relationship that she couldn't travel to Jamaica with less than a week's notice? Not in the slightest.

I think Paige is being sensible in a lot of things. Especially not rushing into marriage. I don’t get why people think she should rush. She clearly loves Craig dearly. I am rooting for them. Craig is one of the nicest guys in southern charm.

It feels like this was supposed to be a Craig and Paige versus everyone else type of season. Taylor came in seemingly out of nowhere with her “ratchet girl summer” that’s going into fall and winter, and everyone has shifted focus away from Craig and Paige’s relationship. There is absolutely nothing wrong with their relationship that would necessitate Shep and Whitney having this conversation.

It’s appalling that in this day and age we dismiss Shep’s behavior as “adorable”- Taylor is suffering from years of ongoing NARCISSISTIC ABUSE, as well as other forms of mental, emotional, & verbal abuse. I would imagine she has PTSD and other mental health issues as a result of Shep’s control, devaluation, and gaslighting. And this is based only on what we see on camera. 😢 I wish people (esp. other women) would have more compassion and less judgment. Remember earlier seasons when ol’ T. Rav did the same thing to Kathryn Dennis? Everyone villainized her until long afterwards, when he faced legal charges for abuses less easily ignored. I hope Taylor can heal, but I definitely think she needs a therapist trained in ptsd from being in an abusive relationship, and a better support network of real friends. I can’t imagine being on the show is doing anything positive for her mental health and healing ❤ :(

My impression and opinion is that Taylor talked like she and Jesus could change Shep because she did not even notice she was in an abusive relationship with him till the other cast members told her. Maybe Taylor has confusion in her religion and don't understand a fairy god mother granting wishes and religion are two different things. We cannot change people that is only something they can do if they want too.

You are right but there are a lot of so-called Christian that do just what Taylor does that lack a true relationship with God. The way she talked to the other women on the show was that she and Jesus can change Shep. God is not her fairy godfather who grants wishes nor understands faith means change not walking around saying I am sorry for the way I abuse you. Bingo 🎯🎯🎯 My heart aches for Taylor. Shep manipulated her with "our future dreams" that were ALL lies & manipulation by Shep. Shep even convinced her to quite her job and "travel with him". When she quite her job he dumped her before any travel. YES she is suffering from PTSD like most victims of narcissistic emotional & mental abuse. Now she has to film with him. which prevents her from healing but, obviously she needs to money since she quite her career job because of Shep.
