The prices on almost all the Jordan 4s are nuts at the moment. Colorways that I and many others hated on in the past are going for 300-400$. Green glows, royalty’s, Oreos, red and white alternates all come to mind. Couldn’t get 150$ for a lightly worn pair of any of those a couple years back.

Incredible content as always. Definitely rock what you like. Sometimes I buy hype shoes to sell to buy more of what I prefer. Tends to be the name of the game these days when you can’t just buy any shoe(s). Collecting what you like is way more satisfying than collecting what others want.

I’ve began transitioning away from buying every single Jordan release to picking and choosing what I buy for the toe not every shoe is worth having just wish I figured this out sooner

Just had a trip to the outlets a couple of weeks ago. Closest Nike outlet is 6 hours away so everything we got no one around us has. 3 pairs of shoes, a couple of hoodies and some basketball gear for $400 when retail one of the pairs, 270’s, is like $200 for us.

As someone that’s bought Boost since it first released in 2014 before the hype, them falling off has made my wallet happy. Just recently I got a pair of the Kith Aspen Ultra Boost Mids DS for $90, and a worn 1x Yeezy 750 Chocolate for retail out of luck.

I love my Nike React 87s. Been rocking them for years now, and I actually disagree with you saying the materials are subpar. Held up great for me. The midsole is super comfortable and the upper is great for warmer weather.

I don't know what the general consensus about React sole is, but damn they are the most comfortable thing to have under your foot. I have a pair of Wildhorse 7 which are basically my beaters and it has the react cushion. It's just so nice.

I was looking at those LeBrom with the tropical theme and I just picked up the Pegasus 39 A.I.R. Hola Lou which I I love the light tropical 🌴 on the insoles and the general color scheme elicit a little bit of that vibe without screaming it. I got them on sale for 75 bucks from Nike on sale for 140. I just needed a running (or really walking) shoe and I couldn’t believe the dopest colors were actually almost half off for whatever reason. What does the Artist in Residence really mean for a shoe. I don’t really have any thoughts on selling them but they actually were up to 80 something by the time I had shown them to a family member and they wanted to order them same ones and this was before they were even delivered. After they loved it in person but didn’t have their size. Is it worth buying an extra even at risk of just enjoying it myself since I’ve loved it so far. Not that everything needs a return but I’m sure that I’d be happy to sell the second pair for the right price and either way I get 2 shoes for the price of one practically.

Unfortunately I think this says more about the manufacturer’s ability to artificially control supply and demand than anything. These brands were in struggle mode not too many years ago. Figured out if they created a direct-to-consumer (DTC) platform they could significantly increase bottom line revenue by bypassing the official resellers. Like with the Lebronald Palmer, with the flick of a switch, you got yourself what I would call a Tier 1 Brick. Pretty volatile if you’re putting up big money for sneakers. And the DTC/SNKRS/limited drop model has created a situation where unauthorized resellers somehow cop all the inventory and force the regular sneaker heads to cough up major dough for stuff that could brick with the stroke of a key. That’s why you gotta wear what you want to wear. Tier 1 bricks like all them air max 90s, 95s and 97s piled up at the outlet.

Ive been wearing nothing but nike and jordans since my first pair of jordan 1s in 1985 when I was in 5th grade. I only wear the Nikes that I like, I don't care about hype or popularity, I wish everyone would hate the shoes I like so I could at least buy a pair for retail. It's sad when resellers buy up all the stock then resell them for double or more to people who only want them because of the hype behind them. Resellers have DESTROYED the sneaker market for us who just want the shoes we like. Resellers need to be taken out back and put down... lol. I have NEVER disliked a shoe, then changed my mind to liking it just because everyone else liked it. To this day I still wear nothing but nike and jordan shoes and apparel. Resellers don't have the passion for nike/jordan that I do. It's sad, it's all about the money instead of passion for the shoes.
