SNEAKING INTO AN ABANDONED FOOTBALL STADIUM!!!

Really unique explore today, as we sneak into an abandoned football stadium. This was a fairly risky explore, but the stadium was in incredible condition, so it was definitely worth the trip. Sadly I only had 3 hours of editing time this week so the final product isn't as good as I'd hoped. But anyway, heres a bit of history about the place:
The Millmoor Ground, commonly known as Millmoor, was the stadium of Rotherham United. It was originally the home ground of Rotherham County F.C. between 1907 and 1925 before being passed to their successors Rotherham United F.C. until 2008. It has been closed down since, but is well secured, and is also kept under control as it can be rented out for events, and by local Sunday league teams. It has an 8300 capacity.

I thing it’s still used for a small local side sometimes? I think at one time they maybe played rugby on it too, not sure but I think the pitch is still occasionally used hence it isn’t overgrown

That stand you went in with the bars was still under contruction hence why it was a tent haha, miss the old, place wish I was a bit older so I could've enjoyed it more

millmoor : ) such memories.. the away was the stand behind the goal nr the police box called the Railway end the home end kop was the Tivoli the black seated area was for the cut out fans and the family stand was indeed the unfinished stand which while not complete did actually look pretty awesome. The owners were the booths and would charge the club rent which was as expensive as a premier club to rent which pushed the club into several dark times which resulted in a temp move to youth olympic stadium Don Valley. which was like watching football 2 spitches away stood in the antarctic. aweful. and aweful times until been saved by now chairman Tony Stuart owner of a lighting company (first to provide the flood light at back of peoples houses i believe) by turning things around and providing a small but stunning stadium. which saw back to back promotions in Rotherhams new stadium followed by a hopefully short drop down a division

yes since i was 5 now 44 a season ticket holder through good and bad. in the play offs so just might be a short stay as i mentioned earlier lol.

Its still maintained by the owners in the hope that Rotherham united one day come back. The owners are a bit odd. The first bit you explored was an unfinished stand that never opened to the public.

8:25 You can see bottles in the window of the above room and the window is ajar as if someone is living there. I wonder if that is the reason he cut the video at 10:33 and returned downstairs. Interesting video. Btw i just sub'd while eating a meatball Sub so double sub.

That stand was meant to be done up but the club ran out of money and the stadium was taken off the club do sad never completed
