I'm almost halfway through my 20s, seeing this and thinking about how for two summers I took a job as a camp counselor for a local summer camp and how happy I was helping kids socialize, play, and even teaching them stuff like science and game development, makes me feel really good about what I've done with my life thus far. I think I speak for a good chunk of young men when I say that I can feel inadequate when thinking about where the previous generations were in their lives at my age. While I may not have a million dollars or a harem, I know that I was able to be a good presence and teacher for a bunch of kids who might never have thought that they could know or learn complex things in a fun way. Thanks for reading! God bless. Edit: I wouldn't want a harem anyway. I've got an amazing woman by my side, and we've been together since we were in our teens. Love is real, y'all!

Honestly, the feeling of inadequacy for most will always be there if we use the traditional barometers for success that previous generations did. I remember when I was graduating university I would worry about whether I'd find a job. Once I started working I'd start worrying that I wasn't earning enough. After several years I was earning about triple the median salary of the region so I started worrying that I hadn't bought a house yet... The fact of the matter is that we're expected to (and expect ourselves) to attain a level of success that is incredibly difficult for the average person without overleveraging yourself credit-wise. That's without going into the fact that even if you manage to get to the point where you've attained what seems to be the traditional "end goal" of being a man- being able to provide for yourself and another (rent, bills etc.)- it's honestly a pretty thankless task. Nobody is going to thank you for posting the rent cheque or doing something that's considered "your job", out of sight and out of mind and all that. So in short your experience is what every young guy should be taught; focus less on what you feel like you "should" have "achieved" and focus more on what makes you feel accomplished.

@@mrgaudy1954 Thanks for your reply! Honestly, I'm still going through that myself. It creeps in since I'm in that same sort of phase as you once were. Right now I'm making double the median salary guys my age are making. Sometimes I feel like I should be doing more, but other times I'm very satisfied with how far I've come. I'm the first person of my family (that I know of) to have gone to college and graduated in the U.S. it's a big thing for my mom to see this achievement since she raised me without my dad and I'm forever grateful. Before I ramble though, thank you again for the reply. I hope to reach a more consistent level of satisfaction in what I'm doing. God bless!

@bobthereaper101711 ай бұрын
@@njez7563 Not like this, dude. Wishing death on a specific group of people like gay and trans people? That ain't normal. They aren't even old enough to have any sorta negative bias towards let alone wishing death. Sure, a child might say some dumb shit to someone who hurt their feelings. This is not an example of that. This is an example of kids trying to be like people they look up to. They're doing this to look cool to the person they look up to, which is by far the worst behavior to emulate. Their parents need to correct them, and Sneako needs to do some self reflection if this isn't the image he wants to put out into the world.

I was so confused by the last bit of his comment too, like huh 😂 And when I was a kid, growing up in the 00-10s, we picked on the people that picked on those that couldn't do anything about it; it wasn't acceptable. If these kids had done this at school, there might've been others that told them their place too, not just teachers. Those employees should be ashamed of themselves that a customer had to do that for their coworker with challenges.

I'm a Christian but agree in LGBT stuff being more celebrated where I am (the UK) simply because it's true freedom. LGBT people have the right to celebrate their pride as much as my fellow god following brothers and sisters have the right to preach and have their own events like baptisms, parties etc. Without that we end up a horribly tyrannical place like North Korea.

Massive agree on your take that the word grooming has lost all meaning today with how overused it is. So many situations have had this word thrown around it's sad. Situations like the Colleen ballinger situation and this. Those situations are bad but grooming is not in there

I agree. I find it very werid that a 25 year old is giving advice to younger people..especially if that 25 year old looks, and gives off the vibes of a 17 year old. Heck, I'm 31, and don't look my age at all. If anything I do my best to keep looking younger than I am. I'm sure by the time I'm 45 or 50. I'll finally look 35 for me to give out advice to young men. Public perception has always been if the person looks young, you treat them as such. Still trying to find his purpose in life.

@natescosmos11 ай бұрын
It's disheartening to see children act like this and believe this type of shit. I only hope they develop or are taught the necessary critical thinking skills to understand what empathy and human nature can truly be. I know some kids who are a little bit younger than these boys who at least see these types of kids as toxic and steer clear from them. I just hope these kids don't get too consumed by this fake idea of "the matrix."

I'm pretty sure "influence" or "exposed to this behaviour" is already enough of a buzzword to use for those kids. Hell, "brainwash" and "corrupted" is understandable too. The need to add "grooming" into everything's been wild nowadays

my opinion, words dont mean shit except for what the person intends it to mean when saying it, same with flags, same with symbols, words definitions are changed frequently which is how cultures and new languages have developed over years , intent is truly what makes the meaning most of the time, of course there are things that arnt even defendable even with context, saying for all gays to xxx is incredibly wrong even with a joking intent,
