The thing is, it’s not even bad. Scrape, all for one, seek, and hologram are all quite good with snecko eye. AFO/seek/hologram especially because the cards you get don’t get randomized again since you’re not drawing them. You have to play very carefully, but it’s very strong if you don’t get repeatedly screwed by RNG.

I finally got a win with an orb-deck this weekend. Weird thing was, no orb slots upgrades were offered. No cards, no relics, nothing. Not in shops, fight rewards or events. But having a single lighting orb with enough focus to kill any enemy from act 1 was addictive

Idk it does say draw 2 every turn in a deck that wants to get powers out early. He also had turbo going for him. But I don't think there was a wrong decision there really. Fusion hammer might be a clear bad choice. The deck needed draw more than energy.

I think his biggest mistake was getting rid of cold snap over charge battery. He really struggled with blocking for the rest of the run after that event and having more frost in his deck would've allowed him to cycle his orbs more often producing more damage and block

From my experience, and maybe it's just me, Snecko Eye is the best relic in the entire game. 16/20 of my Ironclad Ascension clears have been with a Snecko Eye. Also a lot of my other characters clears too.

It’s generally the second best relic in the game I think. situationally Pandora’s box can be better if you have like almost all your starters. The pyramid is just the best relic in the game though the pyramid is insane if you can play around it properly

hey frost ur definitely not gonna see this but I just wanna say I've been a long time fan since the early league days but I haven't watched you in years and I just started again watching all your sts content. I'm very new to sts and I love that you still explain things and have the little box showing what the relics are even though the average viewer probably knows everything. A lot of other sts streamers just breeze through everything like everyones a master and I just really value your engagement with chat and 'for everyone' style of content!!!

I have played spire for hundreds of runs on a20 and I never realized that the head capped out at 70. I always had dark orb or thunder strike to close out. Man it stunk you got max HP head without a finisher.

Snecko Eye has only ever gotten me killed. Every, single, time. Everything costs 2 or 3. Never 0. And a defend costing 0 without any blocking build or dex is so useless it doesn’t help.

Snecko simps gonna be mad to hear it but this run immediately destabilized horribly as soon as he took Snecko. Not to try to tell a professional streamer (who I have learned a ton from watching, I might add) his business, but I feel like just saying something like "Snecko is one of the best relics" or quoting Snecko's win % isn't the total picture. What Snecko essentially does is it forces you into certain lines of play, balanced out by offering you a greater quantity of lines of play in general. What this means is the less your deck cares about certain individual lines of play (as opposed to just drawing and playing more of your cards randomly), the better it becomes. A deck like this, that is trying to utilize things like Hologram, Genetic Algo, Amplify, etc. is one of the worst possible examples of a deck to add Snecko to. I think an example to compare would be something like Runic Dome, which is a relic that is good if your deck doesn't care what the enemy is doing (usually because you are generating a lot of block without having to try for it, like a Defect deck with a lot of focus or an Ironclad deck looking to win off Barricade). If someone simply said "Runic Dome is one of the most powerful relics, Runic dome was one of the highest win % of any boss relic" they would be missing the point that like everything in StS, Runic Dome is situational. I think the issue with Snecko Eye is that it is such a BIG change to the deck and has such a polarizing effect on the community, that a lot of the examination of what it actually does gets lost in the noise.
