The Satellaview versions, in a sense, yes. Though it also has its disadvantages, for example the league versions where just 5 courses per game downloaded, while the original game has all its 15 courses in one game.

No it was a sort of expansion that was only released in Japan on the Nintendo Satellaview. Sort of an earlier form of downloadable gaming/streaming. If you had a certain expansion for the Super Famicon you could play this game on certain hours of the day when a channel was "broadcasting" it.

No, and yes. No because this was an actual game only released in Japan in 1997 on the Broadcast Satellite (BS). There was no physical copy, and subscribers could only play the game at certain times on certain days when the game was "on air" like satellite radio. There were other games like a Zelda exclusive with different maps which had voice personalities talking about where items or people are. Yes because since no physical copy ever existed, the rom was placed on the internet and has contributed to many hacks and mods. This one is the unaltered original.

It isn't a hack. It was only released in Japan through Nintendo's Satellaview service, which streamed games to the system. Games also included voice tracks.

Super Mario Kart came about because of F Zero, they wanted to make a split screen two player F Zero but the SNES wasn't powerfull enough to keep the same racing speed so the vehicles became go karts
