Great show for the early 90s. Great sound and video. My favorite snfu shows were at fenders ballroom long Beach in 86 87 and 89 on the " if you swear you'll catch no fish" album tour and "more fun than a stick in the eye" album tours didn't get a chance to see them in the 90s but those mid to late 80s snfu shows were some of the best memories and best live punk rock shows ever!! Rip Ken chin aka chi pig you will always be in our hearts! Thanks for the fun times and your off the wall performances! Thanks, ken (rip)Brent muc Dave Rob and John, for touring those years to southern California, roughing it out in the van to play with and for all of us down here in LA OC and SD.

This video is killer. I did a show for them a few years later in Redding CA. It was the highlight of all the shows I ever put on or even went to. A very special band who has been meaningful to me from my teenage years until today. I just turned 50 and their songs keep paying dividends to the listener. Forkin keeeelar.

My first show that wasn’t something my mom brought me to was the Wrong Turn Down Memory Lane tour in Nelson in 92. We got to Nelson early, walked around Baker St looking for lsd, found some apparently Grateful Dead stuff, ate two before the show. During the first local high school band I tried stage diving. There was no one there to catch me and I smacked my face off someone’s head putting my tooth through a large part of my lip. Bleeding heavily everywhere I continued moshing until the promoters forced me to go to the hospital for stitches. They sewed me up, flying high and I managed to make it back for the SNFU set, moshed the rest of the set, probably bleeding all over everyone. During the last song they invited everyone on stage and we broke the fuck out of it. Few shows following lived up to that one. RIP Mr Pig, apologies for showering you with water.

There's me old buddy on the bass . . . Rob "Fresh Bread" Johnson . . . before he was in SNFU we played in a little band together in Edmonton called the Dimestore Hoods . . . we did quite a few shows opening for the Wheat Chiefs (the Belke brothers band betwixt SNFU incarnations) and Rob was their roadie . . .

@@itch1991 Little known fact - when Rob joined SNFU he wanted to get me to play drums . . . unfortunately, I was incognito at the time . . . I had disappeared into the forest for a few years and missed out on a great chance to play with a legendary band.
@itch19912 жыл бұрын
@@cseguin Interesting RG. We all have missed opportunities, lol. Once, in '92 I got asked for my band to play with Tool & Rage A.T.M, in L.A., to be paid $800US, & I turned it down 'cause I had never heard of those bands, & I'd still lose money on the trip. Doh! Did you tree plant during those forest years?
@cseguin2 жыл бұрын
@@itch1991 That would be quite an experience to play on that bill. I didn't tree-plant. I went to college and took forestry and ended up being a consultant for a few years until my knees called it quits and I moved back to Edmonton and picked up the sticks again in a band called Gate . . . and now I live on a wee island off the coast of Vancouver Island in a cabin in the woods and haven't touched the skins in around 5 years . . . ain't life strange.

39:24 Why was Chi mad? He said that guy punched him? It didn't really look like it, were they upset because he spent too much time on stage?
@hailboognish38585 ай бұрын
When wasn’t he mad? I met him twice and managed to piss him off both times somehow. First time I can see as I sprayed him with water after wetting my hair and flipping it around while he was stretching in the corner. I was high on lsd and probably wasn’t as considerate as I usually am. Second time and last time seeing them I thanked him for coming to Nelson and asked if he was planning on playing Cheap Transistor Radio. Well, THAT set him off. Still a great show even though he looked nothing like the first time I saw him. Voice was still strong although the teeth were gone.
