@SomeGuy-tz8dz3 жыл бұрын
@@joe2grand , yep!... it is hard. I have never tried level 10. Level 9 for me is real hard. What helped me improve was I was told to imagine the back and coming through to pick up the cue ball. This helped a lot in getting the object ball in the pocket and the cue ball going down on occasion.

Hi Steve, thought I’d give this a go and successors completed. Level 1-5 fairly simple. Level 6 took me 7 goes, then another 9 before completing it twice in a row. Level 7 I did it on 1st attempt and tried again cos I thought it might have been a fluke and took another 4 goes completing that level. Level 8 took me 3 attempts. Level 9 was the hardest and took me 12 attempts. Finally level 10 took me 10 attempts. Next time I try I’m going to video it and send it to you....relieved! Phew! Lol

Hey steve barton...wishing for your good health.. A question, can we change the side after getting down into the shot, by moving the bridge hand. One more thing, when we line a shot up our dominant eye is on that line ie behind the center of the cue ball, but if we are putting a side on the ball, where should our eye be, over the cue or behind the center of the cue ball, as there is a touch distance between the both. Thanks a ton :)

Thanks for this video Steve, will attempt it once the clubs finally allow us back to play snooker again in Australia ... BTW how many attempts did you need to do all these steps?
@BartonSnooker4 жыл бұрын
First 5, one attempt. Level 6 & 7.... probably 2 or 3 goes each. Level 8 & 9..... 6 to 8 shots each Level 10.... 9 shots in total. I potted 3/9 but didn't get the white in on the other two pots.

@@BartonSnooker Great effort, still wished you were located in Australia, would love to get some coaching guidance from you as I know it would improve my snooker, hopefully one day you can visit Australia! BTW some of us at the club attempt the blue ball challenge in between games, have you heard of it, if not its potting the blue ball from the spot with the white on the the line, straight potting and seeing how many in a row we can achieve, so far most I have done in a row is 6

Quick question - why did the cue ball chip into the air on the outtake but not when it was correctly done? What went wrong there? Was it lack of chalk? Did the cue tip hit the surface of the table?
@BartonSnooker3 жыл бұрын
Just hit a fraction too low on the cue-ball. If you go too low, there won't be enough cue tip in contact with the cue ball and it won't grip enough, causing the tip to slide off the cue ball and jump up in the air.
@leemarshal33293 жыл бұрын
@@BartonSnooker Thanks!
@Mitjitsu4 жыл бұрын
I would have thought playing long straight shots dead weight would be a better way to improve your cuing. Hitting it hard can mean the unintended side you put on the shot won't take effect before it reaches the object ball.

Hii i had a question i have been playing snooker for more than 3 years now...i have worked on my cueing a lot and its been better now...but the thing i have noticed that i mostly play on the weekends due to office stuff i dont het much time but some time it happens i cannot pot the balls which are almost hangging on the pockets and some days are like i can even beat the rocket i can literally pot the balls from anywhere on the table...i dont know why my game. Is not consistent because some days when i know i am playing good and have made the break of 40 and 50 but some day i even struggle to pot some straight simple pots i dont understand it it my techquie that is wrong or does this game have to do something with my confidene...because i have notice when i am confident i can pot balls from anywhere and when i am not i cant pot a ball...do you have any suggestions upon it please provide you valueable feedback Would appreciate your response if you take some of your precious time and respond on my thing thank you soo much once again
@mikebest6344 жыл бұрын
It's like golf mate ,sometimes you can turn up and look like you have never played the game ,other times you just play well .Thats sport for you and no matter how hard you practice ,you just have to accept that some days its not there ,the key is to have a good B game that you can fall back on ,enough to get you over the line. ,Thats why Steven Hendry was so devastating at his peak .
@hatimindorewala8024 жыл бұрын
Definitely pal thats is the game, but i love to see the shocking face on the club when the other play see me from play garbage to go on making break...that really boost my confidence the ones who usedd to laugh at me now they appriciate my game, just love this game
