Another practice routine here.
Pot the yellow green and brown, but each time you pot the brown, play position for the yellow again, and try to clear them as many times as you can in a row.
This snooker training routine makes you play lots of different shots. You will play screw back, top spin, stun shots, so it is very good practice. It will also help you with your colour clearances.

Steve useful video but have liked to see where you was hitting the cue ball like you do in your later videos Thanks.

my coach, Charles pool, told me that I must hit all ball into the Center pocket. It took me almost 2 years to complete that. It will master a persons spin on the ball without any other nonsense. It’s hell trust me

How can I practice adjusting the power of the shot? I tend to hit the cue ball too softly and the object ball fails to reach the pocket, or I overhit the cue ball and miss the pocket.

Hi steve. what benefit is it to the player learning how to get from brown to yellow? No disrespect of course. I'm just wandering if it would be more beneficial to try and get position to the blue, then repeat the drill but with a different cue ball starting position on the yellow each time? Or am I just missing the point of the exercise 😅

Hi Steve I did this exercise but no ball in any order and made 111 break... But a week later my highest break in a frame was 15.... Everything felt wrong and I was scared and feel upset that I can't relax in a frame maybe because I spend too much time practicing without match practice

Hi! You need to make sure you are still concentrating on the correct things in a match frame. Don't set out with the goal of making a break, just do the right things. Concentrate on doing your pre-shot-routine, concentrate on doing the right things, and let the numbers take care of themselves. The more pressure you put on yourself, the harder it become to do well.

@@BartonSnooker absolutely I reflected on that hours after I said bye to the other player and thought what went wrong. Im currently practicing on my ironing table checking for body movement and found a great technique to finish on my follow through 6 inch mark that one coach drawn on my cue. Thanks for replying back!!! Very happy I know I will become a great snooker player it's just that nice constructive journey toward getting there.

@@amarsbarr I could surely tell you that if you're feeling stressed or too anxious about something you would not play the best you could. I know that feeling, soon as you recover some confidence, your hand is back in game.

@@moviemaster00000 cheers bud but also I practiced a mock frame yesterday where I broke off etc and pretended I was playing somebody and surprise surprise I felt like I didn't know how to pot balls in highest break was 23 I think. But when I set up just 6 reds around the pink black and blue spot I nearly made a total clearance of 70 but missed the last black! So 63 break. I definitely know I need to practice mock frames like it's the real thing as my brain isn't used to it and then when the real frame happens because I haven't chosen where the balls are placed it will allow my brain to let my technique shine through! :)

Is your table heated as well? Does it make a big difference?
@BartonSnooker

This table is not heated. But yes, table heaters do make a big difference. It keeps the moisture out of the cloth and helps them to run faster.
