IMO O'Sullivan's last escape from snooker against Selby was the very best shot this tournament. Greetings from Koszalin, Poland.

As a new snooker fan from Florida in the good ole US of A, I absolutely love your channel. I didn’t even know what snooker was a year ago, but thanks to the KZfaq algorithm recommending a Ronnie O’Sullivan highlight video, I have become an instant diehard. I absolutely love the game, and am so thankful to have found this channel to help me learn.

What about that crazy shot from Ronnie where he was TIGHT on the baulk cushion and just potted a long red like it was nothing, think it was in the second to last frame during the Semi vs Selby
@Breakfromlife
@Breakfromlife 4 жыл бұрын
Usually when they put lists together like this there’s a lot that gets missed out. It’s usually because you can’t watch every shot from the entire tournament. I went though everything for example to find the Jordan Brown shot and those first 5 frames against Selby aren’t available on any platform
@randommadness1021

Those last 3 frames were nutts. Was convinced Ronnie was going out then he just smashed Selby and made him cry, almost literally 🤣🤣 I bet they two end up in a boxing ring one day.

Barry Howard I heard Ronnie say in an interview with Hendry on instagram that losing to Selby in the final last time like a bitch because he got trapped in Selby’s game was one of the hardest loss he had to get over. He promised himself that if it is to loose to Selby again it will be Ronnie style all guns blazing. I think ones Selby got within a frame of winning Ronnie just came out all guns blazing win or loss didn’t care and am glad he did that cause he made Selby cry like a little bitch in the interview after. I just loved how Ronnie came out smashing 3 frames in a row. He didn’t show it but we know inside that felt so good after the loss in the final last time. Was it 2014 I think I could be wrong I don’t remember
@timothybolshaw
@timothybolshaw 4 жыл бұрын
I think shots selected by professionals take into account whether the shot was the correct one to play. Frankly, I think Mark Selby was very unlucky to lose. In the last three frames, Ronnie took on a fistful of anti percentage shots that happened to come off. Fellow professionals who admire Ronnie will nevertheless be regarding that long red from the baulk cushion more lucky than good, because Ronnie stood to lose the match if he missed. The shot they selected as their number one pick was both highly skillful, and acceptable percentage when you can stroke the ball like Ronnie. Nevertheless, I think that snooker by Jordan Brown is absolutely fantastic, and would have been my choice.

Hats of to Kyren to making it to the final, I'm a fan of both Ronnie and Kyren
@AD-kv9kj
@AD-kv9kj 3 жыл бұрын
I enjoyed watching Kyren far more than Ronnie this tournament. Kyren's attitude and temperament both on and off the table were exemplary too. I honestly think Kyren might have beaten Ronnie if they'd had at least a day to rest before playing the final. He seemed worn out after that epic semi.

@AD-kv9kj
@AD-kv9kj 3 жыл бұрын
@@garyduffy5912 Meh, if you actually watch that match back, McGill got tons of luck too. He in fact got extremely lucky a few times and didn't make the most of the opportunities. It was extremely close and Kyren just made good from his flukes, McGill stumbled more.

I'm a Kyren fan also, and obvs Ronnie. What made me a Kyren fan was when there was an old man, in the audience, who always goes to the Crucible. The old man had fallen asleep and was snoring. The ref and security were going to chuck him out but Kyren shouted up and defended the old bloke and they allowed him back in.

@@Breakfromlife Question I've always wondered. I noticed your table does it too. Why do the colour spots always seem to become dented in so much that the spotted colours roll back into the dent? Club tables always have this problem too. Is it just the cloth getting compressed by the ball sitting there? Is there no way to prevent this other than re-clothing a table regularly?
@Breakfromlife
@Breakfromlife 3 жыл бұрын
I think it could be the slate. Not sure where my table came from but it did seem to have a hole where the black spot is even after it had been reclothed
@AD-kv9kj
@AD-kv9kj 3 жыл бұрын
@@Breakfromlife Damn. I don't get how people can dent slate like that. Do loads of people hammer the colours into the spots in clubs or something? You should have any dents in your slate filled in next time you re-cloth.

One thing I noticed about this tournament is how often players weren't playing long shots as shots to nothing, but instead going for broke to pot them and get position at the same time. A key example of this is McGill's shot against Wilson.
