I CAN't negate this, that all EXCELLENT songs, just almost as better as MORPHEUS song (Unreal Tournament game song), but PRETTY LOVELY then, ever... just give me a NFSU2 game cd EVERYTIME I hear this song! :D

This cover is actually pretty sweet! Jim Morrison would probably like it. Snoop Dogg's voice does this song quite well. It's only 'butchered' when you compare it to the original. When you view the cover as its own separate, standalone work; you see it as the great work it is. Smooth flow, good vocals, good beat.

I love the fact that they kept some of the original elements of The Doors, you know?? The instruments, the organ, it still has The Doors feel and that's why I love it, Snoop could've easily just sampled the vocals and created a whole new beat.. But he didn't, he wanted to keep the originality.

***** See, that is how one does covers the right way. Keep to the original, but add your own elements. It's called showing respect while going your own way. Snoop knew that it wasn't his song, and he respected that while putting in his own elements to make it a true cover instead of a clone. Say...I guess weed doesn't really rot your brain after all. ;o)
