I hope the song gave you the comfort and heart Yoongi wanted to give all the newer/younger artists working away to meet their dreams. He said he didn't have a lot of support from senior artists when he struggled and wrote this song to give it to those who come after him. Their voices are beautiful and It's gonna be okay plays on loop in my head. All the best, It's gonna be okay 💜

1. Don't ever apologize for connecting to songs 2. SUGA wrote this for younger/up and coming musicians, so I think he would love that it affected you. He has a beautiful need to help and mentor people so they have someone to be there that understands unlike him, who didn't. He/BTS were in unchartered territory for much of the past few years, and they didn't have anyone who could advise them or understand what they were going through completely. He did have a few musicians who, while they couldn't help with the level BTS was at, they could be there musically and as a sounding board for being part of a group. Although it's in SUGA's nature to care for people, I think Tablo also probably affected his mindset of being there for younger musicians.

The song has always been meaningful, but after watching Yoongi's final final D-Day encore concert (D3), where he started crying through this song (as he described it, ugly crying...and the last 3 songs), it carries such a beautiful weight now that I can't hear it without crying. His whole concert series holds so much meaning, but that last day...woah...seriously, it wasn't just a concert. Many of us Army were so moved, and crying and processing weeks and months after.

I'm going to give you a link to a live performance of this song. The lyrics are also a little different, but the message is the same. I really hope you will let us see your reaction to this live performance. It is one of the most emotional, powerful performances that I have ever seen, including ARMY's reaction to the performance. This is from his very last concert, just days before he enlisted in the military. Knowing what BTS went through and keeping the timing of this performance in mind, I'm sure you'll be able to empathize with Yoongi. It's a fancam, so it's a bit shaky, but you can still see him. Feel free to try to find a better view, if you want. Just look for Agust D Snooze live Day 3. I'm glad the song resonates with you. You are literally one of the people that he wrote it for.

I'm so happy you reacted to this song, specially considering the moment you guys are right now! Yoongi wrote this song to younger artists/artists in general who are trying to follow their dreams, and knows how hard it can be, specially when there is no "veteran" in the music to be there for you. Suga wrote this song hoping he could be that to other artists, because he and BTS didn't have this (at all) when they were starting. So this song truly is for you (even though I know you've been in this road for some time). It's just suga trying to hold tight those who have a similar dream as his. And also to people with other dreams, but specially written for musicians

its okay to share your story as an artist and musician as well to resonate with the lyrics bc is for people like you, rising stars artists musicians etc, that this song exists in the first place; yoongi wanted to give his juniors a little pat on the back, say to them that its okay to feel like sometimes the road they choose might be too much, too lonely, but as he said in his lyrics, it is a flower road and eventually everything is going to be okay… anyway, i hope you liked it and please continue to enjoy bts’ music and message!

It's no surprise you relate to this song, Yoongi wrote this song for the younger generations of idols. He didn't have much support on the way up with BTS and he knows how brutal the kpop industry can be on idols in Korea. Many take their lives under the pressure. He wrote this for them!! It's so sad that just 5 days before this was released, an idol (Moonbin from Astro) took his life. :( This song truly is a gift to anyone struggling to make their dreams come true. but especially artists!

Yoongi has such a huge heart, actually all of BTS have huge hearts, as said previously Yoongi wrote this for Junior Idols, he said that when they were coming up in the industry there was no one who they could go to for advice since BTS has been the one to pave way for all Idols who have debuted after them, they know all the hardships of becoming idols in the international scene as well as the haters who said they would never be anything, so Yoongi wants them to know he is there to listen to them and give them advice. Under the Bighit label there is BTS and the their juniors TXT, the relationship between the to groups is so heartwarming, they have become great mentors and support for these boys, both cheer each other on and have a great friendship.

Yoongi is one of the few rappers I’ve heard who can express so much emotion while rapping to a beautiful melody. This song reminded me of why I fell for him and, eventually BTS, back in the beginning when I found his two mixtapes. My absolute favourite song on D-Day - when I first heard it, I didn't know what the lyrics meant, but it still made me cry - the melody, Yoongi's emotional storytelling in his rap & Woosung's haunting voice. Yoongi & Woosung are the same age & were already friends, and as others have said, The Rose have also gone through a lot, so I can see why Woosung would be the perfect fit...and why you can relate so much too! You may not know, but it was hearing Ryuichi Sakamoto's soundtrack for the The Last Emperor at the age of 12 that made Yoongi want to be a composer - so meeting him, composing the song together and finally being able to tell the Maestro how much his music meant to his life, only 6 months before he died, meant so much to Yoongi - you can see how much he bows in respect in the video. I've pre-saved Scars and wish you all the success in the world - I'd def come to the concert if I wasn't broke & in the UK! 😄 Take care & amidst all the excitement & hard work, I hope you can try & get that rest Yoongi talks about ☺💜

Beautiful reaction. I witnessed this song live on the last day of Yoongi's tour in Seoul and seeing him cry on stage ripped my heart out. I was on the floor and was looking at him from behind so at first i was confused and scared he was hurt but as he started to break down and cry I felt so much sorrow and felt his catharsis deeply. There's probably a video on yt of it somewhere [d-day seoul final day 3 snooze]. But i'd only watch if you felt up to it, even in private. It's a very raw moment that shows his deep emotion and in a way his safety with his fans to cry like that and keep performing. The heat in Seoul was oppresive and humid that week, it was the last day of his months long solo tour, he had sunbae's and hoobae's in the audience. I can imagine the emotions were overwhelming. He continued through Dear My Friend visibly upset and crying but he did amazing. He's one of my biggest inspirations in life, a deep thinker and a caring and thoughtful man. I can't wait for 2025.

Thank you for your reaction. I've been hoping you would react to this song because I knew it would touch you deeply. I love this song so much, Yoongi has put into song what he has been doing for younger artists throughout - give them comfort and encouragement, and helping when he could. In ep 8 Yeonjun and Taehyun of TXT were thanking Yoongi for bringing them fried chicken and he commented that he knew they were working very hard and not eating properly. The clips in this mv were taken from the doco "Road to D-Day" - I would suggest you view the doco when you have the time, it follows Yoongi in his journey towards the completion of the third album in his trilogy. It also features the performance of Snooze plus performances of his other hits "Daechwita", "People Pt. 2" and "Haegeum". During the last day of his concert, Yoongi was so overcome while singing Snooze that he was crying and the audience chanted "da gwaenchanh-ajil geoya" (everything will be okay) for him. Lump in your throat stuff! I discovered The Rose through Woo Sung's performance in this song; I think that's the case for a lot of ARMYs. Little snippet that you'll find amusing - during their Lollapalooza set in Brazil, it was so hot that Woo Sung took off his shirt and Dojoon ... loosened his tie! That is so illustrative of their different personalities, lol! All the best for your concert! Looking forward to "Scar" later today.

I absolutely love Suga / August D. Then, when that vocal line dropped in, the goosebumps spread and the back of the neck had all of the hair up. This is definitely a hit.

Thanks for this. It is exactly the kind of reaction SUGA would hope for when another artist listens to his song. All the best to City of Sound, keep dreaming and working to make yours come true. We are behind you!

On the last day of his tour, Yoongi sang this song and cried through the entire song. I’m pretty sure there is a video of it on KZfaq. He really cares about other people and has said that he wants to always support people coming up in the music business.
