Plus, the Snorks were super cute, which always helps. That's exactly how it was described in the top 50 80s cartoons

At first I thought Frank Welker was Esky, but then I realized it sounds like Handy Smurf, so it's got to be Michael Bell. I recognized Jim Cummings ' voice as the Snork with the red beard when he says "I know! We've got to evacuate."

Except the Snorks were more diverse. Different colors of the characters. The names are also different. They also could travel on land as well as the water. Some of the Snorks were actual jerks as well having some other villains. One Snork Junior Wetworth had the most character development out of franchise. The plots were also better.
