Hey Guys, I work in the Ski Resorts. When we park our cars we lift the Windscreen Wipers off the Windscreen to stop them Freezing to the Glass, especially with Auto Wipers you can tear your blades just when you really want them. Been following you since Charlie Bear was about 6 months old.

Best mash spuds cut in half boil from cold water then when water comes to the boil simmer so the lid isn’t dancing....20 mins should be soft. Drain add butter salt pepper, mash then stir in pure cream to make creamy mash spuds.

So you don’t get “LUMPY” mash: - cut potatoes in quarters - make sure you start them in cold water (so they cook evenly all the way through) - once cooked through drain until mostly dry - while potatoes draining return pot to stove and add milk and bring to the boil - once milk is boiled/hot return the potato and mash as much as you can - add butter and whisk rapidly. The whisk gets rid of any lumps, if it’s been cooked properly Glad you loved the snow and snowy mountains. We love the high country.

Lumpy. I've loved watching your videos and travels. So informative. I worked for 9 seasons in Perisher valley as a snowmaker. It's fun watching peoples first reactions to snow and freezing conditions. It's a pity you didn't spend any time around Jindabyne and Perisher or Thredbo. I understand why though as it appears there are no camps in that area and I'd say all the caravan parks would be booked out well in advance

Yeah we planned to stay in Jindabyne and explore but we couldn't actually get any accomodation.

Loveing the episode, love how the kids just got straight into that damn fluffy stuff lol! Also didn't someone let you know to lift your wipers off the screen when parked up and its snowing? Stops the rubbers freezing to screen which causes stress on the electrics if you try to use them!

I’ve lived above the snowline for many decades. If you pull your wipers away from the windscreen and you get half a meter of snow, they are unprotected and can break. Leave them tucked in safely against the screen. Start the engine, run the de-mister while you clear the snow. They will operate safely and normally. Local knowledge!

@@grahamparker3468 g’day you have always pro and cons. Where we live no such thing as a meter snow. So what? I reuse the cork from the 🍷 bottles under the arm to lift the wiper a bit to not touch the glass. And yes I do it mostly in summer that the rubber not stick on the glass and bent into always one direction and prolong life time. Now wiper sets are becoming increased expensive no more get 2 new rubber for 10.- AUD, except when you drive old vehicles Cheers

What great fun seeing you all getting so giddy over a little snow. In central Utah we get quite a bit. So pretty at first but after 4 or 5 months of it. YUK! Spring can't come soon enough. As it starts to melt, there tends to be lumpy clumps of it scattered about. Looking forward to the next vid.

Justo a tip if you ever run the high country again in snow or sleet is lift ya wipers from the front windscreen as the rubbers will freeze to ya window bro. And another is never boil the kettle and poor over ya windscreen as many do and end up with the windscreen cracking. put the kettle on for 20 seconds only max. The sleet and snow will melt only with normal room temp water, never hot mate. And don't poor cold water over as all it will do is bond to the existing ice and snow to make it thicker Legend.

This was what life was like in the seventies for many, it’s time Australians got out of debt slavery system, live simple again with government out of your lives. They are nobodies! You have to make some sacrifices to do it, first of all stand up for your rights against their beserk Powers, crazy agendas, and out right theft of fuel, houses, inflation they created, home school your kids, as there lives depend on it going forward. Cheers, every Aussie family deserves this life.. I know, because I’ve experienced this…

Ha ha Bec sitting in back to separate fighting kids brought back memories. Our kids are 39,36 and 33 now and the wife used to always sit in the back in the middle of the 60 series Landcruiser doing Mount Isa to Yeppoon to Grandparents place

Can’t go past a good spit roast and mash. Lumpy mash creates texture! Our kids also thankfully love their vegetables. When asked what they want for dinner they always say vegetables and snags. Loving this episode. Can’t wait to see snow!

The fuel map is the ideal way to check fuel prices when in need of fuel and amazingly prices in some places have a huge price range . A very worthy app we use constantly for diesel in our home town Perth and whenever we are caravanning which is often . We did the snow in 1985 when we did our round Australia trip in our 18ft York caravan with our 2 girls aged 4 and 6 .stayed at Lake Eucumbene and accessed the snow fields from there . Love following your travels , thoroughly enjoyable and informative .
