As we continue cleaning up from the storm, take a few minutes to learn more about our snow fighting vehicles! What’s a salt spreader? How do we turn a collection truck to a snow plow? See it all, including brine trucks, haulsters and melters!

Hi, in NYC, yes Sanitation has many of the same functions as Public Works would in other locations.

Wow, New York has some great new style equipment. But I must say, that's a cute front end loader at 3:00, The bucket of the size front end loader I drive everyday in the steel mill I work at can scoop this entire thing up sideways and drive off with it like it's a Tonka toy, lol.

They work really well in wealthy or upscale neighborhoods; unfortunately they do not work anywhere else.

Does anybody know what the city and Harry Nespoli are trying to do to the nycity retirees? If they can change our medical benefits after we signed a contract when we first started the job, imagine what else they can do. Disgrace!!!
