Snow Removal Operation in Ottawa on Iris Street. Caught this going home. Daytime operation to remove big snow banks from the streets for improved visibility for motorists as well to put more snow. These guys make quick work of the snow plus it’s -20C today. Plowing snow into big windrows. Big snowblower

@@burnuts007 They're almost done with the snow removal right now (Sainte-Foy).But it was fun to see the big Larue (same things as in Ottawa) plunge into the VERY tall iced and frozen-up banks on street curbs.Here too,the graders and frontloader plows always all a plow on their sides too. But in Montréal, not really or always. The amount of snow here in Q.C. area have almost hit records highs again this year. They're snowed under.. ouff. But in southern Québec like Montréal for one,too much rain and NO snow build-up really.But yes,Q.C is THE place for snow and tall snowbanks I'll tell you. And since further north,they get it all in snow too, not rain.

Hmmm I wonder how well using graders work at pushing snow...interesting use of graders, never thought about using those for snow removal. Neat.

It seems like it's used only to windcriw it or stack it in a line fir pick up . I agree kinda weird choice of tractor but it don'tt seem to be able to push that much so I suspect it's just to prep it fir pick up

trainboy647 prob not as effective pushing this heavy snow . Yeah we get a lot of snow. More coming !

The wing does not have hydraulic 'down pressure force' - only the main center blade.

They're not using the wing because the wing would put the snow further off the street. They want to put the snow into the street to get at it with a snowblower.
