On scene video of a dwelling fire in the Snowball Gate section of Levittown.
Firefighters were dispatched to Silverbell Rd shortly after midnight early Friday morning due to receiving multiple calls reporting the front of a house on fire. Middletown Police arrived first on location and confirmed those reports. William Penn Deputy 77 arrived on the scene and established command.
Penndel Tower 8 first in and went in service pulling an attack line to the front door. Wm Penn Engine 77 dropped in from the hydrant at Spinythorn Rd to the scene and crews pulled a line off E77 to assist T8s crew. Newport Squirt 44 picked up E77's hydrant and crews pulled a third line to the rear of the structure in a fight to contain fire to the first floor.
With one half of the structure being at a total loss Tower 8 went in service with aerial master stream operations knocking bulk of the visible fire through a collapsed roof. Crews continued to fight
exposures on the interior of what remained of the residence. Newportville, Levittown #2 and Langhorne-Middletown Fire Companies assisted on the scene with extinguishment and extensive overhaulas well as Penndel-Middletown EMS on standby.
The fire was placed under control in about 40 minutes and companies remained on the fireground for up to two hours. All occupants; three residents and a dog were accounted for with no injuries. The cause is under investigation by the Middletown Twp Fire Marshal.
