Snowbike is a conversion of enduro motorcycle to snowmobile by replacing wheels to ski and track. Video includes detailed installation of Russian Snowbike kit on cross country bike Honda CRF450RX. Installation requires to remove tank, fairing, swingarm with shock, wheels and brakes.
Also, it's is desirable to install thermostat and 7amp battery for use in cold weather. This information can be useful for all bikers who rides in the winter on spikes.
Snowbike has several advantages over a mountain snowmobile:
- Less weight: you can dig it out and move it yourself.
- More economical: cheaper and has significantly lower fuel consumption.
- Stronger: does not suffer so much during falls and upheavals.
- Easier to operate: no need to learn how to ride and maintenance.
- More compact: you can ride in the forest.

Thanks for making this video. I am certain im going to get one and a dirtbike and during crazy snow seasons in the forest ill just hop out of my military trailer and head to work on that lol.

Cheaper then a snowmobile???? What a brand new dirt bike is 10k plus and then a snow kit form timbersled is 5-7k and yeti is 6-9k that is 16-19k. That’s not even with the other crap you stuck on that bike. A turbo 163 mountain sled is 15-16k. Now with that comparison out of the way a snowbike and snowmobiles are really not that comparable in my opinion. A snowmobile has big power, can rip up mountain and chutes, lot less learning curve (this is if you have never ridden a dirt bike or snowmobile, but even if you do have experience on a dirt bike there is still going to be a learning curve on a snow bike) now a snowbike is nimble can take you places a snowmobile wouldn’t fit. Can ride completely different lines, do things you can’t do on a snowmobile. And there are lots of things a snowbike couldn’t do that a snowmobile can do.

The us ones are still complex to install it's not like you're gonna change your bike over evrey season you have a snow bike then a dirtbike

@@orca4770 Not true Nikoli, we change our machines in spring & Fall when the snow is gone and when it starts snowing. It's only about 1.5hrs to change over but we don't change over so many components as your version demands. The ones we have in North America are a simpler conversion, you should try them out.. SnowYeti and Timbersled. Enjoy the snow.

I thought the whole point is that you use the bike in summer,then fit track and ski for winter? Otherwise why not just have a skidoo and a motocrosser. Or am I missing something?

@@supertramp6011 For me the point is a conversion is more nibble and light vs the normal snowmobile is bulky and also its cost effective a used mountain sled is around 10k for a decent low mile but a snow bike hit is around 6k brand new and snowbike has gears snowmobile just has cvt
