If you like running in the mountains, that's a good choice. When traveling between Amarillo & Denver, I stay on US 287 all the way to Limon, CO. Then west on I 70 to Denver. It's 30 miles shorter, a LOT flatter & a lot smother. I live 55 miles NNE of Denver along US 85. So I've done that trek quite a few times. But, also, I experience a form of elevation sickness over 7,000 ft. The Raton pass in southern Colorado, is 8,100 ft.

So glad you were able to be with Alicia and her husband again. Nice you are going to go see family. Then going home to Montana. I hear you on hotels and beds. They are not fun. Glad you are in your bed probably by now. Color Springs is a nice area if I can remember. We we drove from Michigan to Las Vegas a few times and came through Colorado. My mom’s cousin lives in Aurora, Colorado. Not sure how far from Colorado Springs is from them. Great video! Hope you enjoy time with your family! Enjoy the weekend and the week. The lifestyle you have probably affords you more time with family than those who live across the country. I have nieces and nephews that I haven't seen in years, as well as their grandparents. That's the thing about traveling in a coach, always on my own bed. New Mexico has the second worst roads, thank you Mississippi.

Yes it does. We are able to visit grandkids on both sides of the country and we love it! As far as the roads - Mississippi is also terrible!

Jeanne understands... she has a bag that has all her personal stuff that she takes with us whenever we have to go somewhere.... She learned that when we were working... And a motel... No you would not catch us dead in one... We love sleeping in our truck... It has all the comforts of home...except a shower...😂... Thanks for the video...

Living full-time in our RV for three years, I now HATE staying in a motel: not worth the money for a bed that is too hard, a bath that doesn't have our stuff, and our RV without our supervision.

I know what you mean about being stationary for a while, then everything feels new. I'm a long distance truck driver & I take 2 weeks vacation at the end of December. It's the same thing every January.

Here in Florida, the temperature has been getting up to about 91* during the afternoons, and around 68* at night. I’m definitely envying some Montana temperatures right now! Enjoy your trips, and enjoy Montana and Spokane when you get there!

No, we put an old blanket under ours so it wouldn't get any wood slivers from the bed platform, but that's all.

We just bought a mattress from Brooklyn, after a month it’s already sagging and my back pain came right back, so we turned it and after one night no back pain, I’m suspicious that will only last another month. This is the house mattress, the Rv one the thread is coming off and it’s sagging bad in places, what kind of junk is this?
