Sundown is a great resort. Fantastic runs, fantastic employees, but most importantly, they treat their customers right. Making my appearance every weekend till the ground thaws 🤙

You should check out Mad River Mountain. It’s about an hour and a half from Snowtrails and it’s much bigger.

Wild man. Great seeing you support the independents. I spent the better part of 30 years in Iowa and never road at Sundown. Looks like I was missing out. We always went north into Minnesota or Wisco. Mt. Kato, Welch Village, Afton Alps, Trollhaugen, Devils Head, Cascade. Good times.

I am an iowa resident and love snowboarding in the area. It is no whister and the pow is pretty lacking but we have a fair share of resorts. My local that I main is called 7 oaks. Love ur stuff man

Snowshoe WV is the same way with a huge ski town on top of mountain. My favorite place to go on east coast. Has awesome snow conditions.

Going to chestnut tomorrow. It's too bad you did sundown first the park and resort at chestnut is worth the extra 45 minutes from my house for sure but both parks are a way to stay brushed up till you can get to the Rockies. Sundown is an absolute party on the weekend the scene is a blast.

I can't believe you went to Sundown! I grew up riding there. If you want a better terrain park hit up Chestnut in Galena. One of the best terrain parks in the Midwest.

While you are there, check out Chestnut Mountain! It's just across the Mississippi river and is better imo than Sundown! If their park is open, its the best in the Midwest!
