@@NC_2005 Get away were? There is barely any long grass, no trees and a road were it can get hit by a car. This is not fair at all. It would have been fair if they would have done it in a forest with some trees were it could have hide, but here there is less chances to escape and survive.

The thing about hare coursing is that its to test the dogs hunting skills, agility and it allows dogs to express their natural instincts to chase and course prey in a controlled setting, promoting good physical health basically. To be fair. Hares can outrun most dogs. It takes a special dog to run hare after hare daytime and be successful. Whippets can catch a day hare if its clever but then its done. These dogs can do 5 runs like this and still want to go again. And also they dont show u when they miss lol

Why not just barricade the fields better so that only genuine old ways hunters can enter?? and to keep genuine coursing going just net all hares on the estate so they cannot be taken the same way twice plenty of things farmers can do to keep it fair without trying to prosecute a man for going out and catching dinner for him and his dog.... fuck the rich people and fuck anyone who thinks they have the right to claim they own a part of nature, we all do. Thats rich coming from land owners who allow fox hunts to chase foxes over several different farms. By packs of dogs not just 1 then when iy goes to ground. Allows them to dig it out then chase it again. And when said fox is killed. Its literally ripped to shreds then thrown away. Yet u rich prats want to stop a single dog chase ( your hare ) that can travel 20 miles in 1 night so obviously not yours afterall because they believe the media bullsite. I disagree with driving over land and threatening behaviour but if it was legalised it wouldn't happen.

As for the running that hare is running from natural predators every single day of its life so its something its been dealing with for a very long time, so it a natural occurrence which its used to. In my opinion though with no judgment on others, the hare deserves as much respect as the dog and should be protected from harm by muzzling the dog,
