Finally got round to signing up to patreon, gotta help keep fuel in them loaves 🍞🐎

Imandra was a dark souls game. The rocks were enemies, some of the terrain were bosses and the fuel tanks scattered around the map were bonfires 🔥. And the unlockable garage was gaining access to fast travel

I gave up zig-zagging through that river crossing. Now I go round both rocks downstream just on the right of the first rock. I only tried it because of the sign at the top of the hill that says "expect the unexpected".

I haven't used the Boar much either because I just don't like how it feels to drive...however, if you're not driving on a map with ice it's much better using the offroad tires (UOD II specifically) than it is with chained, the all-terrain based UAD chained tires are a bit crap IMO.

I gave up on non mod trucks on black badger .......especially that river crossing and the flooded town, now using an iceberg, 64131 jibe and the azov 7330 with evacuator bed fitted which gives 3 slots or two packable lo4f’s.

I highly recommend the navi star. It surprises me constantly. A fully upgraded navi will chew up every map , she loves being high an just cruising. It has only disappointed me once in the yukon hauling an 8 slot , it got beached at 2 different parts. Besides that lil hiccup she is is golden . Good for hauling logs to. It really doesnt need diff locks if it did tho it will be OP as fuck. Navi power is where it's at.

They’ve changed the mud physics is what I’ve concluded, trucks just don’t seem to make it through unless you drop it into low or low-. Low+ is only useful on semi solid mud, the thick juicy stuff requires max of low, and the fine tuned allows you to find the sweet spot between stupid slow and slow but still getting through the mud. If you had dropped the P16 to the middle or slightly below in that river and farm crossing it would have just gone through without need of a winch. I’m pretty sure they adjusted terrain friction stats to give a reason to prefer the fine-tuned box. It doesn’t seem that using less throttle will do the trick anymore, if you don’t apply full throttle it doesn’t apply power to the wheels. It’s like they are making you manage your power application with gearing rather than throttle.

When going thru that river crossing near the garage try going around to the right instead of thru the center. I find its a little quicker that way. 👍 Oh, and u gotta check out some of the new bluelines, the guy added some realistic gearboxes to where they have 12 gears.

JBE P16 for the win 😁 Seriously. That thing is a beast. It hauls and can recover anything. Building the power station gives access to the brick factory and the second metal factory. I use the off-road gearbox on trucks with engagable diff lock, and highway on trucks with always on diff lock. With always on diff lock, you just maintain more drive and momentum so you dont have much use for low gear. With engagable, you basically have an AWD vehicle and the only time diff lock comes into play is when you're on the verge of being in trouble anyway.

I think I’m going to do a video comparing all of the gearbox styles with speed down the runway.

Ive been powering through missions by stacking cargo extra, the new twinsteer can stack and hold 3 extra small cargos if you drive patiently.

I haven't had any problems like this on the map. Though for mods I use the offroad trailers since the higher ground clearance actually helps. Azov 64131 never stops moving though hah.

For the river crossing I have a tatarin set up there it seems to work well.

Boar's chains: *struggles* This mud deep, very deep. P16's OP muds: *yawns* This is it? K then, let's get rollin'. The boar needs better tires badly. If the twinsteer wasn't so tippy, It'd be my go-to truck. It needed a lo4f.

in addition to the rev caps you have mentioned I also noticed that when you are shifting between the low gears and the reverse low, the shifter is very slow to react. At first I thought that it was my controller but it's something they changed behind the scenes.

I had the "Slipping Clutch Problem" last night, (That's what she said) with three different trucks in the exact same spot.

Go to the right on the river crossing when leaving the garage. Don't cross between the rocks. Goes much better that way.

P16 is definitely the best of those 4

I agree with your mud theory. I think they have sneaked in a mud buff. Just to give justification and usage to the fine tune gearboxes. Not that I mind, tests yer skills.

I find power hasn't been a issue at all with the find tune. Only time I ran out of power was going up those steep grassy hills with the WS Twin-Steer and 2 metal beams. Far as mud or anything maybe you need to go into Low+ in places, but I never had power run out.

With the Yukon maps I think the reason I didn’t like it much is because there’s little variety in the missions and the only challenge of the map is annoying things. The reason Wisconsin is much much better is because there’s a lot of unique missions. Big logs, train towing, paper, cellulose (after paper factory is made) and even regular logs. The saw mills can accept logs and turn them into wood. It’s amazing how the devs can make a boring map then make my favorite maps.

Black Badger Lake is a hilarious name... I have heard many refer to a ladies sweet spot as a "badger" so as an Aussie I visualise an Aboriginal with a very wet "badger" 🤣🤣🤣

The boar has the biggest engine in the game. The same engine as the kolobs.

A lot of my trucks are now suddenly losing power which before this new update never happened. Like you though winch to a shrub is enough to kick start it... But they need to tweak it back as its annoying as hell

The pay star in high range going uphil with a damaged engine can hit upwards of 50 liters a minute. That’s an entire don fuel tank and then some.

i think the P16 had an even harder time with the river crossings as you'd already been there in the Boar which had ripped up the mud and made it even deeper. Though i think you should have gone down to low, low for hill starts as i was rescuing the Derry 4520 on Grainwoods and i took a longer route around by the metal rolls factory with the derry on modded ramped high saddle trailer and when i stopped to check the map and take some screenshots on the road by some houses on a hill i couldn't get moving again till i dropped it in low low in the advanced special. I think what makes the P512 better then the boar is just looking at it you know what your getting and it'll do anything you could realistic ask it to. I mean all the awd trucks are bad are bad on rocks if you turn of there AWD, besides the apache as it's front wheel drive. But the P512 is still better the p12 in my opinion.

FYI chained tires are actually terrible for mud, the in-game tire rating lies. Check Reddit for tire traction values. P16 unique tire Mud value: 3.5 Mud tires mud value: 2-3 ish Chained tire mud value? 1.3 at best. Almost all off-road tires have better mud traction than the chained tires you used.

It's because your almost out of fuel, the game severally limits power when almost out of fuel on some trucks

I wish when they ad a truck it would be a better truck for the map. I don't think any of the new trucks are better than the tanyga, or the Kolob.

The Boar is a horrible truck. The P512 does better on hills with diffs on.
