Personally I love the 7.3, always have and my opinion best diesel made not only by ford but all diesels. Also did not expect that jump from the 6.7

The badging makes the trucks look so much better than what I get on console.

Well as an owner and daily driver of a 7.3 I will say that I prefer it to any other powerstroke that I have drove because of how much simpler they are to maintain, also it was the last engine that International Navistar designed and green lighted for Ford. The 6.0 project was canceled by International due to injector and head gasket problems but Ford bought out the project because it was a cheap engine and International tried to persuade them not to use it. The Ford wanted more power out of an already troubled engine (6.4) and after that International quit making the diesel engines for Ford like they had since 1984 starting with the 6.9 IDI. Sorry for the little rant on Ford diesel engines but as the only mechanic and a small garage that has worked on every on of Fords diesels from 6.9 IDI, naturally aspirated 7.3 IDI, factory turbocharged 7.3 IDI, pre-intercooled OBS 7.3 powerstroke, intercooled NBS 7.3 powerstroke, 6.0, 6.4, and 6.7. The IDI’s are the easiest out of all of them to maintenance anything especially the injectors or glow plugs, but the intercooled 7.3 powerstrokes are by far the most reliable and most robust diesel engine (as long as it’s kept stock) Ford has ever had the honor to use. It’s stock reliability is up there a stock 12 valve Cummins.

My dad had a 2005 (I think if not it was close to that year) 6.0 and it was nothing like this one. It broke and had a lot of problems. It wasn’t like it was even used a lot it just fell apart. That is why I’m not a big fan of ford.

Technically the 7.3 l V8 powerstroke diesel should be more powerful than the 6.0 and the other one

As a person that has grown up by fords my list would be this. (7.3) good for towing and other stuff. (6.0) good for towing and for performance wise awesome. (6.4) is my least favorite truck made by ford. To me it is only good for towing, and just is to quiet with a straight pipe exhaust. (6.7) this truck is okay on towing wise but on the performance wise is the best all around.

All the console mods are go for me besides 20 pages but there’s nothing good on them how to fix it
