The loadster is an truck that I really underrated but now that I used it it’s a super fun truck to drive.

Judging by engine sound alone, the Loadstar is the huge winner. Love that putt-putt sound.

Simply the fact that you are even comparing a small, 100 years old truck with modern, purpose built 6-wheeled off-road monster makes the Loadstar a winner ;)

I feel like the Loadstar doesn't need an offroad gearbox because it has diff lock always on. The highway gearbox is insane, you can drive so fast and it is still very stable (although very slippery with mud tires)

They should lets us put the 2x-slot big trailers on the 1700 aswell as just the 2x-scout flatbed. And hold the horn down.

Loadstar is my favorite scout. Its weight has prevented many rollovers.

Loadstar is young God when it comes to anything hauling or towing and still has enough power to bring you anywhere for scouting without many problems

Are you kidding? You testing them in mud and set dirt tires instead of mud ones. You are to set OHD II, not OHD III. Last has only 1.5 grip in the mud, compare that to 1.9 mudgrip of OHD II.

Maybe it would be cool if you did a test before and after the upgrades you did at the start. To see how much the trucks change after upgrading them.

Now this is a comparison I've been waiting for.

I use the Loadstar as my emergency repair amd refuel vehicle. But I highly recomend you find the upgrade to raise the suspension and AWD first. Otherwise its a tad useless

I use the loadstar as my main scout, thing is unstoppable uphill, in Alaska in the first map I climbed straight up the side of the big mountain to the top such extreme angles the front tires were struggling to stay on the ground even with that it never rolled or even slowed to an unbearable speed, the freeway transmission in the loadstar is key. You can get rolling in low and stab it into high and it rips through any minor mud or obstacles by minor I mean obstacle that would make one throw a controller while using the Chevy

Only started playing last night, was planning on using the loadster as a recovery truck for if things got too bad. Ended up having the recover the recovery truck, be great to see it when I can get it properly upgraded.

So for this game what I have understood about the Stat system. high power to wait ration means the car of truck can go really fast on roads unless its speed is bounced such as the Hummer. if you want high torque engine for off roading then power to weight ration dont mean much, you must get a truck car or engine which has high fuel consumption, Higher fuel consumption means high torque. Plus the lighter the vehicles better at muds also bigger wheels makes lot difference. Also another thing, some trucks do have a Mud Tier but not those Dual wheels but single wheels, but off road one have a Dual wheel on the back, then use the offroad with Dual wheels. the wider the shells are less it sinks unless you just go Auto in mud and sink it. I have tested it with the Pacific 12, the Ice Tier and also I think the offroad one has dual wheel setu p at the back, works lot better in all terrain also prevents tipping over

I noticed when you are buying the tires at the beginning for the (mighty) Loadstar you chose UOD III. The III's aren't as good in mud as the II's. The III's are listed as 3.2 in dirt and 1.5 in mud. Where as the II's are listed as 3 in dirt and 1.9 in mud. The .4 difference in mud will make way more of a performance difference than the .2 on dirt. For those that don't know what I'm talking about there's a list that someone posted on reddit that shows the friction levels of the tires. Higher number equals more grip. The only number I have for the Yar tires is 2 for dirt and 2 for mud, which might also be why the (mighty) Loadstar won the dirt hill climb. One would think the Yar will always win in the mud simply because of the two extra drive tires, but just wanted to throw that out. And maybe try the Loadstar in the mud with the truck bed, instead of the service cab. I prefer the truck bed over the service cab anyway. I know we can have the autonomous winch, but you don't always roll next to a tree, plus you installed the advanced scout winch and not the autonomous. So I think a rollover test would have been nice to see. Scouts are supposed to be out in the bush where it's not always easy to get to in order to recover them. So whether it's no tree nearby or you haven't unlocked the autonomous winch yet staying on all fours is important. I know you can have repair points, but if you are playing the role of support then tipping over and having to use some of those points will mean fewer points for fixing the other trucks. Otherwise, enjoying the vids and thanks for all the work.

The Loadstar is my favourite scout and saved my ass many times. It's also really stable and difficult to flip over. I didn't knew that the pick up part can hold fuel. When I came to Russia I said no to the yar and used the Don 71 I was Extremely Impressed by 28’’ Mud tires.

In everything but deep mud, the Loadstar pulling a loaded trailer would be faster than the Yar if you had given it a highrange transmission.

The second from last tires in the offroad group have the highest mud traction values which is the most important stat on tires. The most expensive tires are not always the best.

Feels like a similar case as with the Scout 800 and the Khan. One is more practical, the other is more capable. Either way I’d still take the Loadstar over the Yar any day.

I’m not that far into the game, (only explored Michigan, and am trying to finish it, and explored Alaska, and taken the BM1 Royal (or whatever it is)) but I bought the International Loadstar, and I love it.

A fully loaded loadstar 1700 is like speedy Gonzalez.

Loadstar is the hands down winner in my book. I've scouted everywhere in it.The sheer size of the truck engine, AWD, Diff Locks and a raised suspension means there is nothing it can't handle. Bought a YAR. It was ok but like a lot of the Russian vehicles, has a rubbish turning circle. Got rid of it and kept my Loadstar!

The loadstar with the highway trans can be pretty interesting, super fast when you take off tapping the shift button and lots of times I’ve powered through medium mud in high. Lots of spinning and mud flying but that’s how it’s supposed to be when you’re mud bogging.

Why did you test the Loadstar with the service cab addon in some tests? It's unfair as it adds much weight. Should have used regular pickup addon (or give the yar an extra trailer to pull).

UOD II tires are slightly better in mud btw. There’s a handy chart on reddit that someone made of the friction values for each tire and terrain.

Try testing the loadstar with highrange gearbox, it can go through light mud very quickly and on road it will beat most trucks

I use the Loadstar as a speed machine. Use the high range gearbox on it and you'll get anywhere faster than any vehicle by far. I can reach every watchpost on a map within around minutes. You'll take damage on the way going that fast, but the pickup addon does it's job.

The Yar 87 is great, but tippy on mountain climbs, do you know if the roof rack affects it's balance?

Loadstar with a Highrange Gearbox is what I use. Then again, I use it for minor scouting and truck rescues, i.e. when I accidentally flip one of my semis and need something fast and controllable to get there quickly.

The load star is really good for a more get my big truck unstuck kind of truck but can be used as a scout

I think the loadstars ability to have the loading crane/repair cab and attach a fuel trailer makes it a better rescue vehicle than even the TUZ and it's the only scout that can carry cargo wiithout a trailer

You should compare the International Paystar and The White Western Star, very similar stats. I have them both the White as the Workhorse due to its off-road tires before level 11, and the International as backup/rescue.

I like how they put vehicles in weight categories so that the power to weight is as close as possible

i actually did pretty much all the same tests and if you swap out the pickup bed for the service add on with the loadstar 1700 it performs the same as the YAR 87 except on the mudpit test just because it bottoms out

The loadstar reminds me of an old GMC pickup mixed with an 60's international truck. And I love it.

Only question I have is why the change in config during the tests. Also why use a off-road gearbox on a truck that has permanent awd and diff. Using the truck rear and high range on all tests for the loadstar would yield far better results. Also having a larger front bumper will load balance the truck improving front grip. Otherwise nice job. Loadstar FTW

Both are suited to their own purposes loadstar good for hauling from sticky situations and the yar 87 is good for rescueing trucks from bogs and such due to its high traction from its 6 wheels

With the crane on the 1700 can just push it's self out of the swamp.

Yar is useful of all but not for narrow mountain path lol! Anyway, (for Yar) you should speed up auto and soon enough near to up the hill then switch to High Gear. I did and it's working.

Honestly with the lift on the loadstar it could fit bigger tires on it easy. Still a great truck just avoid mud with it, everything else it's great.
