Snowstorm pummels Northeast with a foot of snow in some areas

A weekend winter storm left a trail of snow and rain up and down the East Coast and another storm is already in the works. NBC’s Kathy Park reports and TODAY’s Al Roker tracks the latest forecast.

WINTER SNOW -2024 **** Over the heads of all I meet Falls winter's life giving snow. Upon the rooftops and the streets Filling the sky and earth below. May have to postpone taxes till next year. This snow and heavy rain weather is going to destroy a lot of our homes. States need to declare a state of emergency and prepare the national guard for our safety. So sad what is happening aroun this area.

This is hilarious... oh no! A snowstorm in the northeast! Must be climate change.. lol. Lived in the northeast for many decades and it happens every year ... this was a small storm. Don't buy all the crazy hype!

A warmer atmosphere holds more moisture and more energy. Higher precipitation and stronger storm systems have already been observed since 1950 and can be clearly linked to climate change. However, storm systems like these cannot directly be attributed to climate change. We would need to see the rain, snowfall, and wind, and compare it to long term averages to determine if there is any actual deviation. I think you’re the one making a big deal about it, as the video didn’t even mention climate change in the first place.
