Thank you! And I apologize that my earlier videos didn't include colour mixing or my brushes. Most of my new videos include that and would hopefully be more helpful. For this Snowy Owl, if I remember correctly, I was using Mars Black, Raw Umber, and Titanium White - which I would make a slightly brown tinted grey. For the eyes it was Cad Yellow Medium, Yellow Ochre, White, and Raw Umber. My brushes would range from Round 3, 4 or 5 for blocking in, and anything from Round 0, 1, and 2 for the finer details. I'm painting on hard board, sometimes called masonite that I prime with gesso and then sand smooth. It's a great surface for getting nice fine details. I am planning on making a video in the future about how I prepare the boards for painting. And as for my brushes, I'm using a round 4, 2, 1, and 0. I transferred it from a drawing onto a piece of tracing paper, and then onto to the board. I will sometimes draw it directly on to my painting, but this way I can move it around a bit if I'm not exactly sure where I want it, and need to balance it with other elements in the painting.
