This is so totally mind blowing, even after all these years. Being a granny now with 2 grand kiddos, 8 and 5 yrs old, I love to share my music with them. And as I am a gigantic blues lover they are acquainted with lots of great musicians like Rory Gallagher, Buddy Guy and of course Snowy White whom they like tremendously. When they stay over night, for sometimes I am their nanny-granny when my son and his wife need some "together time" and we have our own party, they will ask me "Oma, (Grandma in Dutch) wil you play Sowie White"? Aww I am melting every time they ask for Snowy White and I think they have a great taste in music... as their granny,,,,,,haha

I'm 64 and only started my guitar journey one year ago. I'm not in the least musically inclined and my entire life resigned myself to the fact that I'd never play an instrument of any kind, ever! Well, here I am today actually playing guitar and loving every minute of it. Nothing great but I'm making music, finding pleasure in every note and filling a void in my life that I felt I always had a yearning to fill. Do not wait, follow your heart and be bold in taking that first step towards living your dreams!

I'm the same age. Have a Yamaha FG-35 that i bought in university. It's been collecting dust for a couple of decades now. But now we're settled in a house we bought, and it might be time to unwrap it, buy some new strings, and give it another go. My retired neighbor plays, so maybe I can get some help there. Meanwhile, who's this "Snowy White"? And why haven't I heard him/them before?

Keep playing and loving it , well done for starting 👍Some people never even try , making music is a wonderful thing imo . I play everyday , maybe 10 minutes maybe 2hrs , whatever takes my fancy . Keep on playing fellow guitarist 👌

i've always listened to blues but not as my principal music genr, most of the time i'm on rock music , i've decided to move to blues these days, damn ! everytime i hear those slow guitar solos, i'm like an ice cube on fire, my eyes just close by themselves and i forget all what's happening around me, and this happens to me before even i start listening the lyrics, the blues is the best invension that human being never made

I think Peter was the best all around, musician, singer, composer, writer, and esp. a humble human being, no big ego, he just expressed himself through his music. He had a tough childhood, and sadly, later in his life was diagnosed with schizophrenia. He under went electro shock therapy, which back then must have been brutal, and he took meds. as well, which he stated in his documentary affected him in many negative ways. He said "a worm or mouse probably had a better life". His music is timeless, it's helped me get through alot of rough times. Thank you Peter, I pray you've found peace now🙏💚💔💚🎶🌟🎶💯

@@tabularasa7775 I’m not saying you’re stupid, but, one of JMH influences was BB KING as he was to the following guitarists and he was American, Santana was American and was playing in the early 60s, as with Mr Gilmour from ‘62 onwards, Mr Knopfler was classified as a virtuoso and his music was influenced by guitarist such as Chet Atkinson, so as far as shitting their pants, not in any sense of the word and like any musician they’re all influenced by each other because they all bring something else to the table… JMH style wasn’t hard to copy as many easily do, yet emulating Mark Knopfler is technique extremely difficult, so maybe reading and understanding more wouldn’t make you refer to stupid statements…
